I have literally been coming here for years and never had a negative satisfaction. The fajita combination here is ON POINT. Everyone of my relatives, friends, and family have been coming here as well and have always left with a smile. It's by far the BEST Mexican Restaurant in the DMV. I recommend this place to anyone. The taste of the food and drinks are truly unique and totally worth it.
After a 5-hour drive from NYC in the pouring rain to mix our new album in Takoma Park in the morning, we were starving, and Taco Mex was everything we look for in a late-night dining experience: women's boxing on TV, romantic Mexican ballads blasting from the jukebox (followed by an even more romantic karaoke singer serenading the tables), nice staff, and some damn fine pupusas.Worth the 5-hour drive.

Bad service.
I went there for carry out with my friend. At first, we were ignored when we wanted to order. When approximately 35 minutes had passed, I spoke up to ask about the food since a lot of time had passed and the place was relatively empty. When I had asked a server about the food she disappeared for another 10 minutes. By this time about 50 had passed and then my friend decided to ask for a refund. She was met back with an attitude and was told that refunds were not allowed and that our food was ready. By the time 55 minutes had passed we received our food. I would have liked to say at

My experience at Taco Mex was horrible, I waited an hour for my food for carry out, I lost my hunger so I asked for a refund, the server said they couldn’t give me a refund because it’s already in the system, overall they were rude, eating in front of me and on their phones while I was waiting for someone to attend me at the cashier. Very disrespectful, bizarre to think the restaurant is running like this.

Went for the first time today! Food was absolutely delicious. Furthermore I went with a 6 and 3 yo. They were patient, gave the boys juice boxes, and chips! If you’ve ever been a single parent, bringing kids out to eat is a disaster! Thankfully we went for lunch and I hope the disaster was minimal. But everything from the salsa to our meals was fantastic!! Thank you for dealing with me and the kids 💕

The whole staff is really unprofessional I’m not the kind of people who usually gives bad reviews but this one time they were the worts the could, not any attention at all , during the call because I order TOGO. She hanged my call and I had to call back to ask 1 how long would it take

The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Buffalo wings+Nacho supreme along with a side of plantain. I don’t eat everyone’s plantain but I tried theirs, and it was off the chain. The buffalo wings were cooked just right and the nacho supreme.... my my my!!!!! I will definitely order from them again.

I’ve ordered twice from here. The first time was TERRIBLE. Ordered ceviche and they packed the bowl not even half way full with no chips. The burrito was very small and flavorless. A few months go by and thought to give it another go. Same. Exact. Problem. Even put a note by the ceviche to add chips.... and the spicy steak was literally all fat. Not rendered off or edible. We will NOT be coming back. They are careless and disgusting.
