One of the greatest assets at the South Orange Performing Arts Center is the Board of Governors who serve as ambassadors for SOPAC in the community, and lend their expertise and guidance to many aspects of the organization. These dedicated volunteers donate their time and talents to guiding and leading SOPAC.
We want to extend our concern and support to everyone affected by Hurricane Ida. It has been devastating to read and watch news reports about the storm's destruction. We hope that you are safe and continue to remain so while our region recovers from the impacts of the storm. Unfortunately, SOPAC and the surrounding downtown South Orange area experienced extensive damage from flooding.
SOPAC relies on the generosity of our members and supporters to bring iconic artists to our stage. Only 57% of SOPAC's costs are covered by earned revenue such as ticket sales; we rely on the rest from individuals like you. A Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame drummer and South Orange native, Max Weinberg invites audiences to create the set list in real-time for this interactive concert experience where anything and everything from the Beatles to the Stones to Bruce and The E Street Band's biggest hits is on the set list of possibilities!
Weapons including but not limited to firearms, knives, and chemical defense weapons such as pepper spray or mace are not permitted in the venue and/or the public spaces of SOPAC. In the event an illegal item is discovered, SOPAC staff will immediately notify the local law enforcement personnel. Full-time Seton Hall University students are eligible for Pirate Rush tickets at SOPAC-presented performances.
