In 1977 Ed Wilgus began the journey that would create Wilgus Insurance Agency with himself, his wife, and his two daughters. Growing the business one client at a time, he built this business to 5 locations across the Delmarva Peninsula. In 1986 at the age of just 18 years old Susan Wilgus-Murphy became a licensed agent and continued working in the family business and never looked back.
The sensitive customer data stored within company servers and in the cloud is vulnerable to attacks from hackers and other cyber criminals. Most people think only large corporations are in danger of cybercrime attacks. But, all businesses that use computers connected to the Internet are at risk. More than one-third of businesses experience a data breach each year.
If you run a financial services firm, you know exactly how vital the right insurance portfolio is to your business's continuation. As a provider of financial services, your first priority is to secure errors and omissions insurance. This policy helps to provide the resources you need to defend yourself against claims brought due to real or imagined negligence.
If you live in a designated high-risk flood zone, and you have a mortgage backed by a federally-insured lender, then you will have a coverage requirement. Some lenders require mortgage holders to buy flood insurance regardless of whether they live in a high-risk zone. Coverage is required if you live in a high-risk flood zone and have ever received disaster assistance through FEMA or through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
