Alta Chalets is a small family-run business. We have operated for more than 30+ years representing some of the most exclusive properties in the area. Our mission is to create unique and personalized vacation experiences for our guests. We are small by design, wanting to maintain that direct contact with our guests and homeowners.
A variety of companies offer airport shuttle service and there is a huge difference in the quality of vehicles, service and knowledge of the Alta/Snowbird Area. There are no street signs in Alta so knowing the location of a property is important. In addition, depending on the company, you may make multiple stops between your pickup and drop off locations.
Alta Chalets has partnered up with Enterprise Car Rental to provide you with some great rates for your ski vacation. Our rates include unlimited mileage, and complimentary ski racks (on first come first serve basis). Rentals will be picked up and returned to the Salt Lake City International Airport location.
The closest airport to Alta and Snowbird is the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). We are a hub for Delta Airlines and have direct flights from most major US airports along with some international destinations. Driving time from the Airport to Alta is approximately 45 minutes, weather and traffic dependent.

A wonderful location and condo for our family ski trip. We found the unit to be perfect for our family of 7. Easy access to Snowbird, although walking was not as easy as we hoped. Short drive or shuttle worked better for us.
Parking was easy with access to the garage. Apre ski included hot tub and steam shower. Plan to grocery shop in town, the selection at the resort is extremely limited. The caretaker and staff were great and very helpful.

I would definitely recommend staying at the View. The location is amazing....ski-in/ski-out to Snowbird and a short, free shuttle to Alta. The condo was clean, spacious, and the view was amazing. Lauralee at Alta Chalets was outstanding. She made planning the trip easy and made sure we had everything we needed.
