I have been taking yoga classes for many years from Mark. I love that he can guide his yogis from beginners to advanced providing options for all within the same class. He is very knowledgeable about how to move through the asanas without forcing or causing injuries. As I’ve gotten more mature in my practice, I appreciate the subtler breath work. I would highly recommend Mark Stephens Yoga

Mark Stephens has been inspiring my yoga practice for over 20 years. I have had the pleasure of learning from his teachings during yoga teacher training courses and helping me master fundamental asanas at his yoga studio and through his online classes. What a gift he has been to the Global Yoga community and in my personal practice.

I've taken a weekly class with Mark since 2006 (15 years!) His teaching has been a powerful force for good in my life. My yoga practice thrives under his careful, knowledgeable, and science-based teaching. I highly recommend his classes and books to anyone looking to deepen their practice. Of course, it's not about how far you go, but how you go.

Mark Stephens is an excellent teacher—very clear in his instructions, aware of how students are doing, and always encouraging personal awareness. I have attended many classes with Mark over the years and though I am much older than most, I always felt like I fit in.
I appreciate Mark’s profound knowledge of yoga and his ability to create a safe space for me and the other students to explore the asanas and be present in each moment.

I took Mark's 200 YTT in 2015 and loved every minute of it! Being as how it was my first training, I didn't have anything else to compare it with, at the time. But after years of teaching yoga and taking other trainings/workshops, I've come to realize that his depth and breadth of knowledge is unparalleled. Not to mention, the quality of his training far exceeds Yoga Alliance standards. If you are looking for a training program, why not go right to the source!? His many books on teaching yoga are the predominate reading materials in trainings all over the world. I simply cannot recommend his trainings

I have regularly taken class with Mark Stephens for the last 20 years. His deep knowledge of human anatomy provides him a clear understanding of how movements during class affect our bodies. This allows him to create sequences which are engaging and safe. Whenever he has a new student he will check in with them before class starts to ask about injuries and what their experience is. During this interaction, he makes it clear there are a variety of levels in the room and encourages them to listen to what their bodies are telling them. He provides detailed support in caring for injuries and a wide
