Services
Mr Mechanic Auto Repair in Fort Collins Colorado is a full service automotive and light truck repair shop. We have ASE certified Technicians that are trained in engine repair and replacement, electrical, brakes, cooling systems, air conditioning, suspension, transmission, diagnostics, tune up, exhaust and more.
The brake system is an essential part of an automobile's safety features. Regular maintenance and check of car brakes is very important in order to ensure your safety on road. There are a number of problems that you might be faced with on your car's brake system. Let's talk about some of the most common issues.
You should always have your vehicles suspension inspected at every service to keep your vehicles safe. Don't put off replacing suspension parts when they are showing signs of wear or failure, especially your shocks and struts. Shocks and struts can be replaced by the home mechanic with a few specialty tools.
It might sound like a normal service for you, but you wouldn't believe how many people don't change their engine oil often enough. We see sludged up gummed up and seized up engines come into this shop all the time. Number one "have to" service for your vehicles is the oil change service every 3000 miles or about every 3 months.
We all hate when it comes time to replace the timing belt in our vehicles as it's probably the most expensive service you will have to perform on you car. Most vehicle manufacturers suggest replacing your timing belt at between 60,000 and 100,000 miles. Cost for this service can range anywhere from $550 to about $1500 depending on the make, model and year of your vehicle.

Great! My '85 vanagon broke down an hour outside of town and had my family (with dog) stranded. I had it towed and we stayed in Ft. collins for a couple days. Though they were backed up with repairs but they thankfully squeezed us in. The repair got us 2000 miles to home and was reasonably priced. Thanks for your prompt service and expertise.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Value
We owned a VW Syncro and had Josh and his team do quite a bit of work to it. I was always satisfied with the quality of work, value, communication and follow-up. Josh is great to deal with, he explains everything in detail and never tries to sell you something you don't need. Honest, reliable shop. Highly recommend!

This mechanic shop is honest, knowledgeable, and gave me real recommendations about what maintenance is worth the money, rather than exaggerating what’s wrong to make a buck. I brought my Jeep in (with 200k miles) for an overall diagnostic, and they gave me the most helpful print out of what repairs it’ll need, at what mileage it needs to be done, and how much it’ll cost for them to do it. And I didn’t even schedule any repairs for that day- they were just giving me a comprehensive look at the vehicle! Such a positive refreshing experience compared to other mechanic places I’ve been!

I live in Oregon and was out there helping my son who's going to school in Fort Collins, look for a car. We had one we found but needed it to be checked out by a mechanic. Just happened to look up and see the Mr. Mechanic sign. Drove in there not knowing what to expect. They were nothing short of spectacular. They did very thorough job going over the car, let us know not a good idea to buy it, talked about other cars to consider, and said they would be happy to talk to my son about any car he found. Huge piece of mind for a mom trying to do this from Oregon.

This was the first place I called after my car stopped completely in the middle of highway. As usual no pen to write down the towing company number with, the Mr. Mechanic said no problem and called the towing truck for me which is free of charge with complete repair. I liked that they showed a caring attitude and took care of me immediately. It's a good start

I have recently taken a couple of my vehicles in to Mr. Mechanic for repair work, and have left there completely satisfied with their quality of work, knowledge, and customer service. I had taken my beloved 65 Mustang to another repair shop in town, and was told I needed thousands of dollars of repair work done. I picked up my Mustang, and drove to Mr. Mechanic for a second opinion. They repaired my car for $ 155.00. The same repairs the other shop wanted to do for thousands. I usually don't write reviews, but felt I must to inform the public of their honesty, integrity, and reliability. I highly

One of the things I find most valuable in a mechanic is being able to trust them and one of the things I appreciate most about Mr. Mechanic. I have had a few uncommon issues with my car, and Josh at Mr. Mechanic went out of his way to not only solve the problem but help me understand what was being done each step of the way. I trust that they provide a quality service at reasonable prices and appreciate their hard work and honesty.

This is the best mechanic shop I've ever experienced. They are polite, timely, and honest. I went in (on the word of a different mechanic) needing my break pads replaced and they told me I honestly didn't need them changed for quite some time, saving me money when they could have just done the change anyway since I didn't know any better.
More recently my car broke down and they were able to look at it right away the next day, diagnosed the issue and fixed it as well as checked and did regular maintenance within just a few hours.

Out of town and having car trouble -- never a good thing -- but alas, my granddaughter's best friend's mother dates someone from Mr. Mechanic -- and thus I get a referral. How lucky I was. The service was great. I even had them check out my struts -- a mechanic in California said I needed to have them replaced (I thought the California guy was just trying to sell me something I didn't need) and Mr. Mechanic checked out my struts and said they were fine. They did my other repairs for a great price. I felt they were honest, not only because of the great referral -- The repairs

A+ All-Around.
I compared parts, labor, and turnaround time to all Audi repair shops within 50 miles and these guys were outstanding on all of the above. On two different occasions (clutch/flywheel replacement and electrical repair in the door) it has been top quality customer service, honesty, turnaround, and pricing. I would recommend them for any type of vehicle, especially the costly Audi-Volkswagen repairs.

Mike is the first mechanic I have ever trusted and I recommend him to everyone. When I moved to Colorado, my VW passat broke down. I was told by one mechanic it would be $1800-$2400 to fix. I brought it to Mike at Mr. Mechanic and was quoted $900 and they fixed it for $800 and change. My car sounded better than it had for years. I now live in Boulder and drive up to Fort Collins anytime I need maintenance or repair. He always does the repairs some day for me and his employees are always very knowledgeable and friendly.

I really felt like the people here cared about giving me honest, and reliable information. They were all very patient and caring in their explanations of what was going on with my car. I called around and they were priced great, and they finished quickly. I will definitely work with them in the future.
