Our charming North Carolina vacation rentals are located on a quiet wooded mountainside conveniently off of Hwy 441 in Franklin. Our cozy, fully furnished vacation log homes are a real breath of fresh air from the typical motel chains and are perfect for your next family vacation or that special honeymoon getaway.
The rustic log cabins sleep 4 adults comfortably in 2 bedrooms with queen beds; however, with a queen sleeper sofa, each can sleep up to 6. A loft above the kitchen is perfect for kids, and includes a full-size futon mattress. Our cabins feature rustic furnishings and decor and include all the amenities you need, as well as FREE WI-FI.

Services
Fox Den is a 3-bedroom/2-bath house located on the same grounds as the 2-bedroom cabins. The quiet, secluded setting offers wooded views and a yard with a firepit. Well-suited for larger groups, Fox Den sleeps 8 guests with the extra pullout queen sleeper sofa. Updated appliances in the full kitchen, washer/dryer, satellite TV, and rustic furnishings.
Rates include occupancy of up to 6 guests unless otherwise noted. For groups of 6-8 with children who may sleep in the loft area, please contact us at (828) 349-0099 for a booking quote. Rates include linens for 2 queen beds or an average of 4 guests unless otherwise noted. For stays of more than 4 guests, a surcharge of $25 per stay will apply.
Check-out time is 10:00 AM. A $50 fee will be charged for guests who do not depart by 10:00 AM, and a $25/hour fee for every hour after the first (unless other arrangements have been made). Collect all garbage and place it in the large garbage can on the porch; replace liners in all emptied trash cans.
Moose, Bear, Elk, and Whitetail Cabins offer 2 queen beds with a queen sleeper sofa and a futon mattress in the loft, and will sleep 6 guests comfortably. For larger groups, Fox Den has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a sleeper sofa. All you need to bring with you are your toiletries and clothes. We want your stay to be as relaxing and uncomplicated as possible.
We ask that you be mindful of neighbors and abide by the quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM. Pets are not allowed in the cabins unless you have received approval from management and paid the $100.00 per pet non-refundable fee (with a maximum of two pets allowed). This fee is ONLY for permission to bring a pet; if extra cleaning and/or the repair of damage caused by the pet is required, additional fees will apply.

Great location...BUT, the Fox Den cabin had a broken drier, clogged drains, broken rocker on the front porch, out dated smoke detectors, inadequate number of towels, broken ice dispenser and significant dampness and moldy smell. When called the office I was told pleasantly, "There is nothing we can do about it".
The value of the rental was not even close to the experience. Customer service was not, it was only, "There is nothing we can do about it".
The next renter should first inquire about the state of the laundry room...
I cannot recommend Big Bear as a company, or the Fox Den as a cabin

I was so excited to go to this place but when we called around 11am they told us we couldn't go there until 7 pm so they could clean. What are people supposed to do for hours until you can finaly go check in. They also accused us of having more people there than we told them because they saw another car with people in it which was our daughter, her boyfriend and his parents. It was a huge Mix up. We ended up asking for our money back. We found another place called Sleepy Hollow Cabins it is wonderful. I'm so happy we came here instead.

We rented Bear Cabin on this property for 5 nights. The location is optimal. Even though there are other cabins close by, we still felt we had plenty of privacy. A quick trip to the store is easy enough because an Ingles is across the street.
Overall, the cabin was a good fit for my husband and me. Though it sleeps up to 6, it would be a tight fit for more than 2 people. So glad we decided to book with Big Bear Cabin Rentals. The cabins are located in Franklin, North Carolina a small beautiful town. This is the perfect place if you want to have a relaxing few days. The cabin it self was beautiful, cozy and just the right size for a family of four. There were two rooms one bathroom and even a cozy section that you climb a ladder to get to that includes a mattress as well. The house was clean and well organized. I have had the absolute pleasure of renting a wonderful cabin from Big Bear Cabin Rentals for the past year. I am blown away by the way each and everyone of my issues (not many at all) were handled in a quick and efficient manner. The entire staff have been wonderful in all my interactions with them. I really wanted to remain a renter, but, family issues require my leaving. I cannot overemphasize how great my experience with them has been. Perfect cabin for a wonderful get away. Very clean and well kept cabin with two queen sized bedrooms and a loft . We brought a lot of our own food and were very grateful that the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans. We loved the deck on the cabin. We also enjoy our nights sitting around the fire. I would highly recommend Big Bear Cabins for your north carolina get away.
