Services
In an industry where expert environmental consulting is often separate from actual project contracting, Meridian is unique in that we perform both roles with unsurpassed quality. We offer professional consulting services ranging from site assessment and remedial reporting to ground-water investigations, Phase I, Phase II, ISRA Audits, and advanced hydrogeological specialties.
Comprehensive testing of soil around oil storage tanks to find possible leaks. Meridian soil testing services may catch leaks before they may lead to an environmental concern. Meridian's site remediation services remove contaminated soil due to leaking storage tanks. Mold remediation services ensures that a mold presence does not spread throughout the property.
If you live in New Jersey, there is a good chance you have an oil-fueled heater as well as a storage tank for that heating oil. There are a number of reasons why you may want to have a professional come out and look at the tank. Over time, these tanks can corrode, beginning to leak and leading you to need help locating and replacing the tank.
If you have an oil storage tank at your property, whether it is underground or above ground, it is susceptible to leaks throughout the course of time. If there has been any type of leak, we can perform testing of the soil around the tank to determine if there has been any discharge to the underlying soil as a professional soil test company.
After the completion of an initial survey and a thorough soil testing and analysis, heating oil leaks may be discovered and the need for soil remediation comes into play. When heating oil from an underground or above ground storage tank comes into contact with soil or groundwater; the State of New Jersey requires property owners to take immediate action by prompting the clean-up process in compliance with NJDEP soil remediation standards.

I highly recommend Meridian. I was very nervous about having my tank removed and my imagination ran wild about it having contaminated the surrounding soil due to its age. I needn't have worried. My questions answered knowledgeably and my fears allayed. The workers who came to do the removal were prompt, friendly, efficient and neat. The space in my driveway where the tank was situated is very narrow, and close to my neighbor, but it was no problem for them. Thank you.

I called Meridian in a total panic. Needed to have a tank that i thought was empty for 15 years removed. Spoke with Shannon and she totally set my mind at ease. She spoke with confidence and assured me that Meridian could get the job done quickly and correctly. She got the permit, scheduled the removal, scheduled the inspection, and removed the tank once passed inspection. Complete job was handled by Shannon. She is the reason to call Meridian. A true asset to the company. Hopefully the owners realize her importance. Call her, she will definitely not disappoint. Shannon is my hero !!!!

I would like to thank all the people who work for Meridian Environmental Services for a job well done, especially Shannon who was my first contact at the company. She walked me through the whole process from start to finish. Shannon is an asset to the company. The two workmen who were sent to remove a 1000 gal. tank did a very good job and answered all my questions so I would know how they would proceed with its removal.
Thanks again.

Best contractor I've ever dealt with. Professional, courteous, safe, clean, on time everyday. When I came home from work, the foreman would give me a quick rundown of what was done that day, and what his plans were for tomorrow. Just great guys, the entire crew. I also can't say enough about Dan and Jessica in the office. The nicest, most easiest people to deal with ever. Jessica was just an angel and so helpful. From the very beginning until the last blade of grass was restored. THESE GUYS ARE BEST!! ON A SCALE OF 1-10, I'D HAVE TO GIVE THESE GUYS AN ELEVEN!! John R.( Edison, N.J.)

Meridian Environmental performed an oil remediation job after a 1,000 gallon oil tank was removed from under a residential driveway in Bergen County, NJ. Driveway’s edge is 4 feet on each side from neighbor’s house and our house. Soil remediation work involved digging a hole approximately 18 feet deep by 30 feet long and 26 feet wide . Removal was done of our side room’s foundation and placement of 50 ft. steel I-Beam for its support as well as multiple helical piers in support of both ours and neighbor’s main foundations.
In a nutshell, this was a very large residential job due to the

I give the Meridian Environmental team a 5 star rating and the highest recommendation. They removed the underground oil tank from a home that I was selling. Because there were two small holes in the tank, soil samples had to be sent for testing. Meridian handled all of the sampling, paperwork and communication in a efficient manner. They kept me updated during the entire process, and it was resolved quickly so I could put the house on the market. Their expertise and professionalism was very much appreciated, and should the need arise, I will definitely use their services again.

Meridian Foundation Repair & Waterproofing - provided excellent service from the initial meeting until completion of installation of helical piers. Quality workers. Office staff was great and always available to answer questions and connect you to the right parties. This was not my experience when dealing with other vendors. Bob Peters, Jessica Charterina, Keith & Chris Winningham were very knowledgeable and helpful. Great team to work with!

I've used Meridian twice now over the past 3 years and each time they did not disappoint. First time I had them come out was in 2015 to do a tank sweep at my house. They were professional and came out in a timely manner. They did not locate a tank and I was very pleased with this service. I eventually contacted them again in 2018 because I had some water issues in my basement at the house I purchased. It was a minor issue and instead of selling me some expensive drain system they explained how the water was getting in a provided a simple solution without breaking the bank. The work was completed
