Did you know the average person takes about 10,000 steps every day? That is a lot of stress on your feet! And when you consider the array of surfaces and inclines that people walk on, you can see how foot pain can be a common ailment.
Services
There are a variety of reasons why you may need to see a foot doctor. The musculoskeletal system of the feet, ankles, and lower legs involve many different parts that have to work together in unison to create smooth and pain-free movement. If any of these parts are not functioning properly, the whole system can suffer!
Corns are small calluses that usually occur on the feet and on or between toes in weight-bearing areas. Corns are usually caused by ill-fitting shoes and can grow into unsightly, hardened patches that become a nuisance. The surface layer of the skin thickens, irritating the tissues underneath. Hard corns are usually located on the top of the toe or on the side of the small toe.
Diabetes is a lifelong chronic disease that is caused by high levels of sugar in the blood. It can also decrease your body's ability to fight off infections, which is especially harmful in your feet. When diabetes is not properly controlled, damage can occur to the organs and impairment of the immune system is also likely to occur.
Ingrown toenails, also known as onychocryptosis, is usually caused by trimming toenails too short, particularly on the sides of the big toes. They may also be caused by shoe pressure (from shoes that are too tight or short), injury, fungus infection, heredity, or poor foot structure. Ingrown toenails occur when the corners or sides of the toenail dig into the skin, often causing infection.
Plantar fasciitis is the term commonly used to refer to heel and arch pain traced to an inflammation on the bottom of the foot. More specifically, plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the connective tissue, called plantar fascia, that stretches from the base of the toes, across the arch of the foot, to the point at which it inserts into the heel bone.

I love Dr. Bishop! The fb group highly recommended him. I went to him. I loved him! He was knowledgeable, educated & has the best bed side manner. I liked him so much; I set up an appointment for my son. My son has autism & he made him feel so welcome. My son said he loved how kind Dr. Bishop was. He is extremely educated on how to heal anything going on with the foot & skin of the foot. He gave great suggestions for my son because he is so active outside. Dr. Bishop knows his stuff. Great doctor!

All the staff at Foot and Ankle Centers is friendly and professional. Dr. Rappette treated my foot issues successfully. His suggestions for how I can continue to support my foot health are constructive. I completed physical therapy with Jacqui Berenyi and I get my pedicures at the Medical Spa. I would highly recommend all services.

Dr. Rappette and Dr. Bishop performed (2) 3 1/2 hour surgeries for my flat feet as well as bunions over the past several months. Both surgeries and the process preparing for each were extremely well handled and planned out. In turn, the rehabilitation process they provide on site is overseen by Jacqui and she is as amazing as these (2) surgeons are!
At 61 years old and having flat feet all my life, this staff of dedicated professionals got me through both surgeries and full rehabilitation in less than (10) months...which for my procedure and age is pretty amazing.
I cannot recommend this collective

I can not express how Thankful I am to Dr. Bishop, I had surgery on a metatarsal bone and this whole experience has been life changing in the best way to say the least. I am still in the healing process but everything's been going accordingly, Thankfully. Dr. Bishop has been nothing more then a ROCK STAR !! He has been so kind and informative on everything and the work he does is truly amazing, Very gifted with his skills on just transforming a foot , its like a miracle really. This kind of work not many Doctors can do or even do properly well. Dr Bishop may not even know how much he changes life

Dr. Rappette is a great doctor. I went in for foot pain a few years ago and I have had no problems since he helped fit me with orthotics. I see him annually to get my orthodics updated. My whole family has seen Dr. Rappette for various reasons and we have always been happy with his service and we also love the staff! They are just great! I highly recommend them.

I took my daughter here after she broke her ankle. Not only was the staff super friendly and willing to help but Dr. Bishop treated us as if we were family. Dr. Bishop was fully booked but wanted to help us and was able to get us in right away. I was very worried about my daughter and her ankle but they helped me stay at ease and helped her heal appropriately. My daughter was seen a total of 3 times and each time the service they provided went above and behond my expectations. I would most definitley recommend going to them for any foot and ankle needs.

I experienced their Medical Pedicure which was absolutely the best! It is such peace of mind being treated where I know everything is sterilized, and I can't contract a foot fungus or worse (Mersa!). Not only was I pampered and left with beautiful feet, but because it was in a doctor's office, the medical technician would not accept any gratuity, so it actually saved me money. Thanks Foot & Ankle Centers!!
