How did we select our name? We'd like to think that we are extraordinarily clever, but we can't take the credit for this one. Built as one of the three original schools in Park City, Utah, the school was named for George Washington. Yes, the Revolutionary known for crossing the Delaware. Though close to going up in flames in Park City's Great Fire of 1898, the hammered limestone facade of the school house survived.
So did the name. After the stock market crash of 1929, enrollment declined and the school house was sold in 1936 to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. It was used for dances and social events until the 50s hmm.

Services
We have a few ideas. If it's cold, think snow - as in snow ski, snowboard, snow tube, snowmobile, snowshoe. You can also fly-fish, ice skate, or ride in a sleigh, hot air balloon, helicopter or luge. If it's warm - swim, bike, hike. Bobsled, fish, hunt. Golf, run, ride (horse, boat, jet ski, kayak, river raft).
Our rooms and suites have been carefully crafted to capture everything that is exquisite in this structure. Every detail is purposeful and our design team's discerning taste has been perfectly executed. Each room has some special details - from the open rafters in the Pool and Town Kings (from which hang crystal chandeliers) to the masterful woodworking in the Penthouse.
We are an exclusive private enclave with an incredibly savvy team ready to deliver extraordinary service. We got this. Weddings, elopements, golden anniversaries, silver anniversaries, paper anniversaries. Thirtieth birthday, Fiftieth birthday, any birthday, pretend-it's-not your birthday. Honeymoons, babymoons, buddymoons.
This is what we do. There is almost nothing that can keep a wedding at Washington School House from being perfect. Maybe it's all the gorgeous white wood, gold gilt, and sterling sterling silver. Maybe it's the beauty of the mountains - stunning crystal white snow in the winter and breathless bluebird skies year round.
There is something about this place that is incredibly inspiring. A good place to think big, to ponder, to brainstorm. We think it might be our schoolhouse roots. Or maybe it is thoughts of our namesake, George Washington - the original Revolutionary, inspiring a new generation of revolutionary ideas across all industries.

Excellent service. Phenomenal staff that are friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. Exquisite location providing incredible activities year-round. Everything prepared in the kitchen is incredible. Heavenly beds. Immaculate property. The pool and hot tub provide the best views you’ll find in all of Old Town Park City.

This hotel has a perfect location in town and a beautiful hotel; however, the real area where the hotel excels is the staff. They wait on you hand and foot the entire stay. Driving service to and from any ski lift with minimal wait time (usually no wait), complementary drinks , great bar and restaurant recommendations and incredibly pleasant staff all with great attitudes and each a pleasure to converse with. We'll definitely be back.

I would recommend this hotel for any special occasion. The service and attention to detail was impeccable. We loved the two story loft and were welcomed with champagne and fresh truffles. The ambiance feels like your in a ritzy movie yet comfortable because of the attentive staff.
Another perk is having the privilege to eat what Chef Louis prepared fresh and hot for Breakfast. I’ve eaten at many breakfast restaurants on Main Street, but this breakfast was the best in town! The food is on point, fresh and perfectly cooked. I love a creative spin on a classic and didn’t go wrong when ordering

A stunning hotel with unique touches at every turn. While the rooms are small, the beds are super soft, everything was spotless, and the little details didn't go unnoticed. The staff provided exceptional service and went out of their way to make our stay special, including leaving some treats in the room for my birthday. And the breakfast was beyond delicious. Our only wish was that the robes in the room were a little softer and the pool was a bit warmer. We also had some neighbors that were playing music/tv in the middle of the night, but luckily we brought some ear plugs that helped. Other than
