The Ferocity Dance Company is a Latin Dance Company located in Northern VA that primarily focuses in different styles of Bachata. We pride ourselves on providing a family type of environment full of positive energy, hard work and fun results! The Company was founded in 2012 by Kat Arias, who is the Owner & Director and wanted to create a place where anyone that wanted to be family, could be.

Services
The Ferocity Dance Company was founded in 2012 and focuses on Bachata Fusion pieces: mixing ballroom as well as other dance styles with Bachata to create a distinct viewpoint and style. The Ferocity Dance Company houses two Ladies teams, a student performance group, a competitive group, and the Professional Company.
I pride myself in my hard work ethic, appreciation for, and constant dedication to proper technique, and pushing myself as a dancer at all times. These are things that I push for in all of my dancers: knowing and understanding that dance is far more than choreography alone. I also pride myself in creating a family environment, where people want to come to practice, and your teammates and coach become a second family.
For amateurs (dancers who do not receive financial compensation for dancing, teaching or performing) that already have an amateur partner, Kat Arias is available to choreograph routines to take to competition. You represent the Ferocity Dance Company, but also have the comfort of having your coach there at competition for you.
Dance is the one universal language that exists: You will always see something that the artist is trying to portray; you will always feel something at the end of a show, because the dancers have given you a piece of who they are. Dance has allowed me to express myself in a way that words never could, it also has allowed me to find an inner confidence that I'm not sure I would have found on my own.
The Ferocity Dance Company amateur team is a hand picked competitive and performing group that travels Nationally and Internationally to compete in various competitions. The amateur team was formed in January of 2015 and has since competed at various prestigious competitions. This team doesn't just compete - of course they perform these routines at various Congresses, events and venues throughout the year!

Kat was one of my first instructors who welcomed me with open arms 2014-2015. Pours her heart into all students no matter their level of dancing. If you want safety, respect, and utmost quality of service then choose ferocity. There is no doubt Kat (ferocity owner) is one the most talented dance directors in DMV area. I found ferocity through my good friend Saul who when I shared with him that I really wanted to be on a dance team, he immediately with NO hesitation directed me to Kat. From that point on, it’s all history. Ferocity has become my home, my family, and more importantly my safe place. Idk what I would be doing if it wasn’t for ferocity. It’s a special place for me, and will always be. It’s really true when Kat says fierce is for everyone. She will encourage you to try out for things even if they're beyond your skill level.

Kat Arias has many dance teams, mostly Bachata teams. She is a great dance (specially Bachata) instructor and her Bachata dancing style is very sensual Bachata (in my opinion) :) ,although she teaches all styles of Bachata dancing! I am in her three Bachata teams among other teams. So happy that I am learning these Bachata dance choreographies from Kat. She is a beast that she simultaneously runs more than 10 choreographies! By far, joining Kat's bachata dance team has been my favorite activity I have discovered in the Washington DC (DMV) area. Kat Arias has built a dance community around her self that is founded on her vision of unity on the dance floor. Definitely a place to stay and grow. The studio is beautiful, clean, and well-mirrored (new word)? I met Kat at a restaurant she was giving dance lessons. I was impressed with the class she taught and asked if she had a studio. Fortunately, she was just opening one up and gave me her card. I made it out to a class and instantly felt like I was a better dancer afterward. Her classes are fun and informational.
