DC DanceSport Academy offers a wide range of ballroom dance and latin dance classes for any dancer and dance enthusiast. Under the extensive expertise of Lydia Petrigova, our school welcomes students of all ages and backgrounds. We train and work with children, youth, and adults. From beginner to championship-level competitors and from social to professional dancers, we offer a place for everyone at the Academy.

DC Dancesport Academy offers unparalleled private dance coaching to students of any age and at any level. Private dance lessons are the fastest and most comprehensive way to excel as a dancer and performer. DC Dancesport Academy offers elite-level dance training and education to children between the ages of 3 and 4, 5 and 7, children between the ages of 8 and 11, and adolescents age 12 and above. These classes give children the opportunity for a full-body exercise and the ability to build confidence, physical strength, flexibility, grace, and social skills.

I am very pleased with the Dance Sport Academy services. My 3 y.o. daughter is taking baby ballet classes with Ms. Vera, who is exceptional in professionalism and communicating with small kids. Her lessons are diversified in the types of activities and movements and geared towards accommodating the needs of the little ones, introducing them to the world of dance and music. Great experience! If you have an active toddler, I strongly recommend classes with the DC DanceSport Academy, and especially with Ms. Vera!

This studio provides some of the highest quality dance training I have ever experienced due to the expert instruction. I have trained with Lydia for many years and cannot wait to come back to classes in person! Highly recommend to anyone interested in trying ballroom or looking to advance their practice.

My children have attended classes at the DC DanceSport Academy for years now. The classes are intense and instructors are demanding, but, because of that, my children's growth as dancers is absolutely tremendous. Best dance studio I've ever been a part of. The instructors are top-notch, teaching lots of technique and fun moves in advanced classes. The students make a great community, it's always a pleasure to practice together with strong dances. The studio itself is beautiful, has gorgeous space, really nice floor, two walls of mirrors, and no columns! I've been dancing here since the studio opened, and it's a pleasure to see how it grows.

I absolutely LOVE this dance studio!! The group classes and instructors are top quality. Lydia, the owner, is friendly, cheerful, positive, and very patient. She is always bringing new ideas to the studio via workshops, guest instructors, special events, and show cases. Katie and the rest of the staff are always pleasant. I wish I could spend my entire day here!!
