All hearing aids contain the same components: receiver (microphone), amplifier, speaker, battery, and program/volume control. Hearing aid styles differ in the organization of these parts and how they are worn. BTE hearing aids consist of a plastic component that houses the electronic parts of the aid which rests on the back of your ear and a plastic tube and plastic mold that delivers amplified sound in your ear canal.

With enormous gratitude for Dr. Steinberg, I submit this review and the video of my now-hearing Father that Dr. has hopefully put on his website for all to experience. I returned home to Chicago to visit my parents after Dad landed in rehab post broken bones and attempting to walk again. At 94, my dad was not doing well physically and on top of that, almost non-existent hearing. As a result, he was not able to hear his physical therapists instructions and was requiring his family and others to scream in order to be heard. I came to you after having dealt with about half a dozen audiologists. I was having all kinds of issues with my hearing aids before I lucked out and ended up with your center. I had the best experience ever. The price was better and the service was above and beyond. I wish I would have met you as my first audiologist instead of my 7th. I am so grateful for all what you have done and continue to do so. I have moderate to profound hearing loss but still very functional. I have always worn hearing aids since I can remember. I used to wear Siemens and Unitron, I switched over to Phonak. At first I fell in love as I was able to hear sounds such as elevator dings and birds. But it was since gone away. I went on my provider's site and found this office listed. When i inquired, I was ask what kinds of insurance. Although he was listed on my insurance site and taking my insurance. He would not see me as a new patient. After the lady put me on hold to double check, she says we do take your insurance but

I worked for Dr. Steinberg for a year and I honestly have nothing but great things to say about him. He is very thorough with his clientele, whether it's explaining how to use their hearing aid devices or showing them how to properly clean them. He truly cares for his clientele and wants to make sure that they are 100% satisfied.

Dr. Douglas Steinberg is the most patient and caring doctor I have ever seen. My 85-year-old father suffers severe hearing lost and had been through a number of doctors before Dr. Steinberg. My father and I both had very little hope we saw Dr. Steinberg as we thought there was not much that we could do to make him hear again. With his knowledge and dedication, Dr. Steinberg identified the solution and brought sound and hope back to my father's life. Not only he offered the solution but also gave us patient support for every adjustment and replacement needed afterward! A five star doctor!!!
