ISHA is here to serve as a source for the public in all matters related to delays, disorders and differences of speech, language, hearing, feeding, and swallowing. ISHA provides outstanding continuing education opportunities for renewal of your licensure and certifications. ISHA advocates for the needs of individuals with speech, language or hearing disabilities at local, state, and federal government levels.

ISHA provides opportunities for students to network and develop lifelong associations with thousands of colleagues statewide. The Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ISHA) is a volunteer, member driven association of and for speech language pathologists and audiologists in the state of Illinois.

The Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ISHA) is a non-profit professional organization, founded in 1960, comprised of licensed professionals with advanced degrees in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology or Speech-Language-Hearing Science. Serve as a source for the public in all matters related to delays, disorders and difference of speech, language, hearing, feeding and swallowing.
The Audiology Committee of ISHA represents the specialized needs of speech & hearing professionals as they relate to hearing and balance disorders and acts to inform and educate members, policymakers, and the public on these issues. Increase membership and active participation of young professionals (first five years in practice).
We are delighted by your interest in the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ISHA). Should you decide to become a member, you will be joining thousands of specialists serving people with communicative disorders from across the state. You may choose to join at any time during the membership year, however, dues are not prorated.
Each year nearly 2,000 speech-language pathologists, audiologists and students gather at the ISHA Annual Convention to obtain further education and discover new products and services. ISHA members purchase and recommend products and services for schools, hospitals, nonresidential health care, residential facilities, government facilities and research laboratories.
Licensed professionals in Illinois who require CE credits to maintain their license will also need one hour of approved preventing sexual harassment training in every renewal period. See - IDFPR FAQ document.
