Since 2015, Fit 1st Running a small specialty retail store, carries mid to high end running, walking and workout shoes for injury prevention and improving performance in Uptown, 2327 Hennepin Ave. We will bring our staff from our shoe stores to your business and fit your employees for walking, running shoes and fitness shoes during the hours you specify.
We also do custom orthotic fitting for dress and casual shoes. Shoes and orthotics can be purchased on the spot in rare cases where there may be alternative color options we will special order and deliver to customers house hold. Minimum time for fitting we would need would be at least 2 hours we can provide fittings for up to 4 hours.

Manny helped me select a pair of running/walking shoes for my dad who had some major issues with plantar fasciitis. He also suggested some sandals to wear around the house, and both items helped him tremendously to the point where he is almost 100% back to normal after weeks and weeks of pain that impacted his daily function. Good knowledge and great help!

Went to Fit 1st for a one on one assessment today and had a wonderful experience! Manny took the time to explain the fitting process and find the right running shoes for me. I love the shoes we picked and the prices were reasonable. If you are a runner or interested in running, come here for a great running shoe experience!

I just came back from Fit 1st Running on Hennepin Ave with an awesome new pair of running shoes. I have plantar fasciitis and wear supportive running shoes all day, all the time. Manny was fantastic and knows his stuff when it comes to feet, comfort, and shoes. He analyzed my gait, made sure the shoes supported my feet correctly with some sort of cool online program. I was impressed. I've bought lots of shoes in the past from many stores, and no one has taken the care Manny did. Service was excellent, selection was great, and I didn't pay any more than I have for decent tennis shoes from

What I received was exceptional service and patience from Manny. Learning about why he suggested certain shoes over others was valuable to me so that I can approach my running form with greater understanding.
Prices were right where I would expect this level of shoes and apparel to be at.
Three months into my (first) marathon training I feel fast as ever!
I will be buying my next pair of running shoes from Fit 1st Running, and suggest you do too!

Thanks Manny for excellent service today! Manny was detailed and thorough and listened to my preferences! He had many great options for shoes, gear, and other cool items for fit living. This review is long overdue. We bought our specialized shoes in October of last year. It's the best and most comfortable shoes we've ever owned. For travelers/vanlifers like us it is very important to have a good fitting shoes because we walk a lot. Manny methodically sized our feet, even filmed the way we walk and run to find the right the perfect shoes for us. We highly recommend Fit 1st Running!!!

I have no compunction buying things online, especially footwear. But I started feeling pain in my heels and felt I needed an expert opinion on running shoes. Manny (owner and all-around nice guy) provided just that. He observed my pace/stride, then broke it down in terms of alignments, biomechanics, etc. Then recommended the perfect shoe. Maybe I get it for $10 cheaper online but miss out on the knowledgeable recommendation. If you're a runner, definitely consider this place.

I had such a fabulous experience at Fit 1st Running! The owner was super friendly and helpful. He spent nearly an hour working with me, having me try on different shoes, and analyzing videos of me running to figure out the most supportive shoe for me. Also, there is a donation box in the store where you can donate your old running shoes. Highly recommend!
