I purchased a home with a Backyard Oasis pool that was installed in 2018. The homeowner hired Backyard Oasis to install the pool along with pavers around the pool. After a few months the pavers started to shift and after three years the movement was so bad that I had to bring out another contractor to tear most of the pavers up around the pool. They found two significant issues with Backyard Oasis's construction process: 1. the pool drain piping was not glued together at all in some places and poorly glued in other places allowing the joints to separate under the pavers. 6 months!! Signed with them on May 15th and been an absolute NIGHTMARE working with this office. The Backyard Oasis subcontractors are sloppy, leave trash for weeks, destroyed our sprinklers, neighbors drainage and our fencing that was less than a year old looks 20 years now. Run from this contractor, they do not manage timelines, projects or damage caused. We had a change in project managers because NOBODY was ever here. We got estimates from several pool builders but none of them were able to match what Backyard Oasis could provide. They were very nice, professional and in business for over 20 years (that's impo. Not happy at all with place. Do not ever try to take advantage of their buy back program. They will try and steal your hot tub. I purchased and paid $500 for a hot tub cover in March of 2021 and was still waiting for the cover in August. I told them I really would like to get rid of my hot tub as we did not use it but a couple a times a year. They told me they had a buy back program. We purchased the hot tub from them and had used them for all our chemicals as well as using them for any needed service. They sent a service person out and was told it was in good shape. Where do I start? First, the team at backyard oasis built us our dream pool. When we first met with Hannah, we gave her all our ideas for a pool. We had limited space due to an easement, she measured and said what we want it doable. We went back to the office to see our dream pool. The design was everything we asked for and then some. It was the worse experience ever when we signed with them, to do our pool. From the beginning their was poor communication and they kept having staffing issues that effected deadlines. We signed in September and our pool just finished last month. I literally told them that I regret signing with them and I had rather gone with another company and pay more money. They also left a mess all the time, ruined my front yard and flower bed. We were apprehensive while spending a ton of money for a pool and detached patio. Tami and Cheryl were very professional in the front office. Aaron was a great help for a few punchlist type details that we had. The pool is beautiful and exceeds our initial expectations of what we thought it would look like.
