Beck Estates was established in 1997. The Estate Sale & Real Estate Division has evolved over the past 10 years into one of the chosen services in the Richmond Virginia area. Beck Estates has participated in several local and Virginia based Appraisal Fairs, some of which include those sponsored by the APVA (Association of Preservation for Virginia Antiquities).
Beck Estates has appraised collections for private individuals, historical collections, museums, attorneys, trust companies and businesses. Heather & Nathan Beck established Beck Estates, LLC in 1997 with an emphasis on retailing fine 19th Century American, European furniture and decorative arts. In 2008, the scope of their business changed to accomodate a rapidly growing demand for selling estate items on consignments in addition to selling Real Property.
Are you dealing with an estate or partial collection of a deceased family member? Are you down-sizing or tired of keeping all those things you inherited 20 years ago and really don't need or like (oops, we finally said it!) You may be a potential candidate for an estate sale if you fall into one of these categories.
Why you may need one? Are you curious about that porcelain vase or old portrait your Great Aunt always said was more valuable than the house you are currently living in? Have you been appointed the Executor of an Estate where heirs don't agree on how items should be distributed? Perhaps you want to play it safe and have your collection or items in your home documented in the event of misfortune, theft or even a move to another location.
The Monday's after every sale, we will be open from 10-12 for wholesale buying. Please keep in mind, offers must be reasonable and all items are to be removed that day. Cash and carry. No appointment necessary, just show up at the sale location between those hours with an empty truck and some muscle power.
Just a word of it thank you for a job well done auctioning off contents of our home on Westham Station Road. You were amazing in managing the many details of the operation and dealing with our forgetfulness, etc. And I will continue to highly recommend you to others moving out of their homes. Three years ago, Beck Estates appraised our Mom's personal property providing detailed descriptions with low and high values along with corresponding photos. Last month, they conducted a highly successful online Estate auction. We were very impressed with their sensitivity and attention to detail in their presentation and marketing. Within two weeks after the auction closed, I received a check and listing of all items with corresponding high bids. We highly recommend Beck Estates!!
