Services
Located on Cornwall Avenue in downtown Bellingham, Northwest Vision Development Center is a full scope optometry office equipped to provide eye care needs for all ages. Dr. Peter Charron opened this office in 2011, three years after graduating from the Southern College of Optometry in Tennessee.
Since then we have been able to provide top service eye exams, eyeglasses, contact lens care and vision therapy to thousands of patients in the Whatcom and Skagit counties.

If you you have never been to Northwest Vision Development Center, it can be a bit tricky to find the first time. Our eye care clinic is located on the first floor which is addressed 1616 Cornwall Ave. Suite 105 Bellingham, WA 98225. We are in the same building with Bellingham Athletic Club, Unity Care Dental, and Performance Physical Therapy.
Vision insurance - aka "eye insurance" or "vision plan" or even "vision discount plans" are all types of vision benefits that cover all, or part of a routine eye exam the type of eye exam that is a check up which does not include management of medical eye problems like glaucoma, cataracts, corneal abrasions, strabismus, amblyopia, convergence insufficiency, eye tracking problems, diabetes or even eye allergies or pink eye.

I felt very happy with my visit to Northwest Vision. Dr. Charron listened to what I had to say about what I felt was happening with my eyes and was very helpful with responses afterwards. Leah was immensely helpful on the day before my appointment. She texted me through the process of any problems that occurred. Overall, it was such a friendly, stress-free environment. I have no complaints!

Having lived in quite a few towns around the country, I've been to many different vision clinics. I can confidently say that Northwest Vision is my favorite! Everyone I've interacted with has been so kind, helpful, and caring. Their knowledge is top-notch and the space very inviting. If you are looking for a local Bellingham clinic, I highly recommend Northwest Vision!

I usually don't leave reviews, but Dr. Charron is absolutely amazing! I felt like the examination was really thorough and he took the time to ask me detailed questions about my eye health/history - not to mention a really friendly person! The office staff were all incredible as well, super helpful, patient and kind. I really recommend northwest vision development!

Dr. Charron really knows what he’s doing and how to set you up for success. I’ve struggled for years (and with three doctors) trying to figure out what was happening with my vision, and he nailed it in 40 minutes. Impressive. Leah does a great job of explaining every step of every process in a kind and patient way.
