Alan Braverman is our Fearless Leader and Founding Partner. Alan developed a love of business and commerce at an early age. His first undertaking, at 7, was starting a family newspaper upon finding his mother's old typewriter. When he was 9, his father bought a store in his hometown of Fair Lawn, N.J. and he discovered "working for a living."
Norman Bleeck is a Partner at Braverman CPA PC. Norman deals with federal, state and local tax filings for both high-net-worth individuals and those aspiring to be high-net-worth. Norman serves the audit and tax needs of a wide range of businesses. Advising his clients on all facets of accounting and tax issues, he serves clients in the service, manufacturing and media sectors and has great expertise with nonprofit organizations.
Jody Meyer is a Partner and our Tax Manager. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of New York with over 25 years of experience working with small to mid-size businesses and individuals.
The majority of her public accounting career has been spent at Braverman CPA PC, providing services including tax preparation, research, accounting and financial statements, new business startups, tax planning, budgeting and compliance issues, benefits planning and implementation and succession planning.

Never heard of these guys until I get a form letter saying my personal info has been compromised -- via a breached Braverman CPA email account. How the hell did they get my personal info? I can only guess -- since they will not return calls or emails -- that they steal it online. Now, they got phished and it's my information that's compromised. Avoid these clowns at all costs.

I was on the fence about writing this, but seeing the last reviewer's experience, and having had similar, AND knowing another person who has had the same experience prompted me to go ahead and chime in.
First, the good. They seem to be pretty competent and knowledgable tax preparers. I've had results enough better than turbotax to make up for the LARGE difference in cost (it's expensive). Also, they are extremely polite. Especially the support staff, who are really the only reason I stayed on with them.

An email today from Alan Braverman asking about my taxes this year prompts my writing this review. It hurts because I was a client for more than a decade, with satisfaction. But, the last 3 years were so awful that I regret giving them 3 chances. The final year, although I pre-paid in cash, was the worst. I met with Alan in the beginning of March. I was traveling in April. I called over and over about my taxes so I could leave the country with no worries. Over and over, I was told they were sitting on his desk, and he'd be signing them any day. Continual calling brought continual lying
