I can't recommend this place highly enough. Laptop Repair Geeks should be your first call if you're in DC and have computer problems.
The battery on my laptop died, and I needed to order a replacement from the manufacturer. (I won't name the manufacturer, but the name starts with a D and rhymes with "smell.") I wasn't optimistic that the manufacturer would send a new battery anytime soon, especially after the first one they sent encountered damage during delivery. But LRG ordered another battery and Darnell came over this morning to replace the broken one.

The Laptop Repair Geeks of DC are fantastic! I spilled water on my laptop and it wouldn’t turn on. I was so worried about losing important work and personal files. When I contacted them, not only did they respond quickly, but they also found that my laptop manufacturer accidental damage warranty was still active and they gave me the contact info for Lenovo to get the repairs done free. These guys are fantastic!!! I had cracked my screen a few months ago and found them. They picked my computer up at my home, fixed it within a day, and then dropped it back off. Several months later my computer was simply unresponsive as the hard drive was old and no longer could process updates. I didn't even know if this was fixable. I contacted these guys again and they responded within an hour, gave me all relevant information, offered helpful options, and again, picked up my computer, fixed it within 24 hours and dropped it back off. I have a Dell XPS 13 that had a swollen laptop battery and a nonresponsive track pad. I contacted Laptop Repair Geeks via their website and had a quote very quickly - along with insight into the trackpad likely not needing to be replaced (turns out the swollen battery interfered with its option) and 2 options for repair (one a bit less expensive than the other). I just called b/c my HP laptop hinge has somehow gotten off center(?) and cracked the whole corner of the keyboard facing. While Darnell cannot fix that, he DID give me the contact information of a place that can...AND told me the process of how that company will most likely proceed with a repair AND later texted me photos of what that facility will look like so I would know what to expect. I have an old MacBook Pro laptop that needed a new battery. Unfortunately, Apple or their authorized dealers won't fix it because it's "too old". I called on Friday and the guy that I spoke to went above and beyond. Not only did he tell me that I could change the battery myself, but encourage me to do so. He could have easily sent me somewhere else and cost me hundreds of dollars. With the guy's encouragement, I ordered a new battery and proudly change it myself. I had a first-rate experience dealing with this company. My laptop stopped functioning; the reviews for this company were encouraging. I called up and spoke to someone on the phone, and arranged to bring in the laptop for repair -- it sounded as if the solid-state drive was going to have to be replaced, certainly a drag but better than a new laptop.
I confess it was a bit off-putting to come into an area hosting some 30 different companies and hand off a computer to a receptionist, even though that's what the voice on the phone had told me to do. But I was contacted even sooner than expected

What, from prior experience, would have been a typically nerve-wracking experience dealing with this company for my laptop repair (for the first time) was surprisingly pleasant: my laptop died from a corrupt Microsoft Windows update, resulting in a completely unusable device that refused to boot. Wow, Richard was amazing. I called up to see if they could fix my old notebook, and he spent about 20 minutes talking me through all my options (including recommending that I don't use them and instead buy a new laptop!). This is a great example of how to build a solid reputation and a certain future long-term customer relationship: he made no money out of me this time (on his own recommendation!), yet with his excellent, extremely helpful advice, this ensures that in due course, he will be my go-to for future repairs.

We received outstanding service at a very reasonable price! Darnell received my laptop on Friday and actually dropped it off at my house the following day! He sat with us and explained what he had done and provided me with a diagnostics report.

From the initial phone call to the 3 attempts at data migration (completely not their fault-- Murphy's law), Darnell has been the most helpful and professional with his work. When my work computer died, Darnell immediately scheduled me in for a same day appointment and diagnostics. Everything would have been completed within 48 hours had it not been for my new laptop which unfortunately turned out to be defective. But in a weird twist of fate it worked out for the better because Darnell suggested a few models that I should get instead.

I think these guys are great. My laptop crashed and they had it working in 24 hrs at a fair price. They even delivered it to my home. I dropped my laptop off at their Farragut Square location without calling ahead--a minor mistake. Call them first--they'll give you directions about getting your broken laptop.

Laptop Repair Geeks were amazing in their service. Lost internet connectivity, and couldn't restore it on my own. Resetting the router, rebooting the computer and changing out my ethernet cable all failed. At this point, I turned it over to them, holding my breath for the worst. Not to worry. I made an appointment with the Laptop Geeks and after reading my quote on the problems my computer was having called me and explained that they wouldn't be the best people for the job. This place is just miraculous. It's Saturday. A windows update throws my laptop out of kilter and I'm only in DC for a day. I Google and find this company and give them a call. They back up my machine, fix the problem, put everything together and schedule delivery so I can keep my dinner appointment in Columbia. All for less than what that big box electronics store charges to fix a laptop - and take 7-10 days.

This place saved my life! My computer wouldn't charge due to me dropping it on the charger port. I took it to 3 different places including Best Buy and calling the manufacture. They all said I'd have to pay close to $700 to fix it. Laptop Repair Geeks was able to recognize the problem and fix it for less than $200 and in 2 days! Plus they delivered my laptop to me for free when it was done!
