Dr. Argumosa earned her Bachelor's in Psychology in 2001, Master's in Developmental Psychology in 2008 and Ph. D. in Developmental Psychology in 2010 all at Florida International University. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she conducted research on infant and early childhood sensory perception and autism.
She specializes in infant mental health, disorders of early childhood, trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder and family systems. Dr. Argumosa has worked in non-profit organizations providing therapy to families involved with the Department of Children and Families, children who have experienced trauma, children who struggle with anxiety, depression, or attention-deficit disorder, and families seeking support with parenting.

Services
Play is how children communicate and process stress and trauma. Play therapy allows young children a safe space to express their feelings, fears, and needs through symbolic experiential interactions without judgment or redirection. This treatment provides an opportunity to observe and assess parent/caregiver-child relationship.
