Our Caregivers receive extensive training in communication, behaviors and supporting families in many different situations. Every case is fully evaluated and a Customized Care Plan is developed with input from our client and family. Our Caregivers are some of the best in the field when it comes to caring for Dementia and Alzheimer's cases.
Caregivers devote their time and energy to caring for a loved one and often get little time for themselves. Providing around the clock elderly care at home can be an overwhelming task. I am an RN working at a skilled nursing facility. I am familiar with Newport Homecare services as we use them when needed at our facility and they do a great job. I have a loved one of my own who recently had a complicated knee surgery done and I immediately thought of Newport Homecare as this person lives alone, does not have family close by and needed assistance when I could not be there. Terri Messiha worked closely with me to find caregivers who could come in at the hours that were needed during the first days after his knee surgery. They all did an amazing job!!! I heartily recommend Newport Home Care for a loved one in need of a caregiver! My 91-year-old mother broke her hip in April, and while she was in two different rehab hospitals, as well as at Hoag Hospital these last few months, we used caregivers from this agency to stay with my mom when my dad or I could not be with her... My dad first met with Teri Messiha, who is an RN and the manager of the agency, who assessed our needs and was our primary contact throughout this time. Newport Home Care has been amazing. My Mother-in-law had hip surgery and needed 24/7 in-home care for almost two months after coming out of the skilled nursing facility. The agency is extremely organized and always at the other end of every phone call. The caregivers have been kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. Our main contact/case lead Terri Messiha, RN, BSN has been wonderful to work with on the day-to-day needs and with Drs. appointments. After having difficulty with another home care agency, Newport Home Care came into my Dad's life at just the right time. Newport was able to immediately staff my Dad around the clock with the BEST caregivers I have ever worked with (and I am a healthcare provider myself). The kindness and compassion these caregivers gave my Dad was as if they were part of our family. They were patient and so kind and gentle; they were respectful and professional. Newport Home Care has been a lifesaver to both myself and to my mom who needs 24/7 home care. It's been a little over 2 years of my mom needing care in home and we've used 4 agencies. We were lucky to find 1-2 great caregivers from those agencies, but was always left worried and stressed if a caregiver would flake out last minute and was given the runaround and my mom was left unattended. We were referred to Newport Home Care and in the first 2 weeks of using their services, we have had professional, competent, and quality caregivers looking after my mom. They are great in emergencies

My husband and I shopped around for a few different caregiving agencies before we found Newport homecare to find a caregiver for his mother. We found the website for Newport homecare and after looking around their website for a while we decided to contact them.
