Services
In the early 1930's my Grandfather, Solomon Hayman, began his family business by selling jewelry out of the trunk of his car. By 1933 he had established a retail store, Hayman Jewelry Company, located in downtown Tampa, Florida. In the years following, the business provided jobs for all the Hayman Family, 8 siblings in total.
Whether you have an idea, a sketch or a specific piece in mind, Hayman Jewelry can bring it to life. Alison is our GIA certified on-site Graduate Gemologist and is qualified for all types of jewelry appraisals. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is considered the premier degree or accreditation in the jewelry industry.
In the 1950s, HAYMAN'S JEWELRY CO. carried Famous Name Brand Appliances like Sunbeam, Hotpoint, GE, Dormeyer. In 1950, Hayman Jewelry Co. was located on the Corner of Franklin and Cass Street, and those new Tampa wives were coming to the Appliance Department to get their washing machines and toasters and irons repaired.
When, during times of giddy prosperity, downtown shops moved from downtown Tampa to shopping centers on the south side of town, the Hayman Jewelry Co. stayed put. And during an era when places such as Sam's Club carry costly diamonds alongside bulk paper towels, Hayman's continues to offer old fashioned service.

I never write reviews, but I have to for Hayman Jewelry Co. because it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I accidently put my wedding and engagement bands on my right hand (duh!) and could not for the life of me get them off. We just moved to Tampa a few months ago, so my husband looked up jewelry stores near us and read a review of a woman who needed her ring cut off. Hayman is a 7-minute walk from our apartment so I walked in and told Deron my embarrassing situation. He was so sweet and said it happens more than I would think. They gently cut off my rings and not only put them back

I went in for an engagement setting and I was blown away by their desire to help me meet my every need. Even after our schedules didn’t match up, the owner hand delivered my ring in a time of need. Stay away from the up selling at the commercial stores and GO HERE FIRST or you’ll end up paying too much. Thank you guys for everything. She was left in tears by its beauty and detail.

I've shopped at Hayman for over 16 years, and never, have I ever, been disappointed. Recently, I had to have a precious stone set that I bought some time ago. Alison helped me pick out the perfect setting and papa Hayman worked his magic. They would not let me leave the store with the ring until I was absolutely... positively satisfied. I brought my watch in to get a rod replaced & to get a nice cleaning. Hayman Jewelry Company did a fantastic job cleaning up my scuffed up watch & fixed the rod on my band.
This thing looks nearly new after years of wear and abuse. I am beyond satisfied. The service was friendly and ridiculously fast. I will be back.

After going to six jewelers searching for someone to cut off my ring when my fingers has swollen in the last week of my pregnancy, I called Hayman's to make sure they were open. They were; and they agreed to cut off my ring. They packaged the ring nicely with the receipt and told me to come back when I needed it resized. Time got away from me and almost 4 years later, I was back. They gave me great service even when I showed up 10 minutes until closing—my ring was ready 3 days later. They have taken excellent care of my engagement and wedding rings, all my watches, and just helped my husband and I make a new necklace out of an old one family one that is at least 50 years old. A long time ago, I purchased my mom a pair of J-hoop white gold earrings. A few weeks ago she lost one while shopping and then saw it lying in the parking lot when she returned to that store. The earrings needed to be cleaned and the one was "dinged" so I thought I'd have them cleaned and hopefully fixed. During my lunch break I stopped into Hayman's in hopes they could help me out.
Not only did they fix the bent post, they cleaned and polished the earrings to help buff out the scratches.

Was searching for jewelry repair near me after a necklace broke. Although Hayman Jewelry Company was a bit of a drive, I knew it would be worth it based on the reviews! Dropped the necklace off with a few other pieces (all repair items that have been collecting in the jewelry box) late afternoon. The store was pleasant with accessible parking . Was told all the pieces could be fixed and ready for pickup in a few days. The turnaround time was sooner than expected and they were VERY reasonably priced.

Just moved to Tampa from Chicago and needed to find a new jeweler. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had a repair done on a medal, it was finished same day and the work was flawless! I loved their selection so much that I ended up leaving with a couple gold bracelets in addition. Wonderful quality and weight at a great price. I have gotten several repairs done and each time they are so helpful and quick. I have even walked in and gotten a repair done while I've waited. They are honest and let you know what they can and can't do and they are up front about pricing. They are now my go to jeweler. Very nice and personable each and every time you do in.

Hayman Jewelry was recommended to me by a friend when I mentioned to her that I had jewelry left to me by my Grandmother that I never wore because it was too heavy and / or too bulky. They are a small store located in downtown Tampa, with a wide selection of merchandise that seemed to be available for every price point. You have to park on the street at an available meter, which was the only downside to their location. The attention and service I received was absolutely amazing, especially with the current pandemic going on. I emailed Hayman's today to get an estimate on my necklace and I was answered within two hours of the store opening. I dropped my necklace off today and it was finished today, as well! Deron was the one who answered and helped me in the store. He was extremely polite and the overall quality of service and work done was great. I stumbled upon the website for this jewelry store a few months ago by pure chance, and found their prices for pearl restringing published right on the website ($1 per inch without knots, $1.50 per inch knotted).
