Wanda Carrington is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults. She is the wife of a Veteran and understands the needs of our military population as well as civilians here in Hampton Roads. She has worked in mental health settings her entire nursing career and has experience in acute mental health, substance abuse and outpatient mental health settings.

After struggling for 2 years to receive the correct mental health care in the Navy, I was referred to the network and reached out to Solutions Psychotherapy. I have been a patient here since 2020 and I love it. I have received the care I need and the doctors I work with are so kind and always willing to do anything for me. I am so grateful I found this office and Karen Stengler, PA. She listens and asks YOUR opinion and open to ideas and explanations. I’ve never had such an amazing doctor! There was a missed diagnosis I had been bringing up to previous doctors and ignored. She ordered the testing and lo and behold, I was right. The new medication made a WORLD of difference for me! Karen Stengler is the only professional I will trust for medication management. For a few years, I went without needed medication because I couldn't find a professional who would listen and adjust according to my needs, the side effects I was experiencing, etc., until I met Karen. I was a patient at Solutions for a while, until I started asking for a copy of my records. Once I started asking for my medical file, my nurse practitioner never found it necessary to give me my own information, which I needed for school, and every time I inquired about my records, I was given the run around. The office manager was never available, and after a while even a few of the front desk attendants started telling patients to find a new doctor’s office. Been going here for 18 months now. Amy was the ONLY one to ever return my calls, or get anything done for me. I travel for work constantly and having Amy and Karen handle my prescriptions was something I needed. I've recently learned Amy does not work there anymore, which was basically the entire front office staff. With that broken down I am seriously considering going somewhere else.
