Services
Wear comfortable clothing, preferably something breathable and light that won't restrict your movement. The ancient teachings of yoga recommend that students refrain from eating at least 2 hours before class. That way, your food is digested and practice will be more enjoyable. A light snack is fine, if needed.

Love this place! Have been attending classes here for more than 3 years now. The owner is wonderful and quickly pivoted when COVID started to offering live classes on line, and then classes on demand. While I was happy to get back to the studio, I greatly appreciate being able to join online or do on-demand when I need to.

Love, love, love this studio! Found it in fall 2018 when my regular studio suddenly closed and immediately felt right at home here. There has always been a good variety of classes and when COVID hit the owner pivoted quickly to online. While the studio has reopened, Jyoti still offers the ability to take classes live online or on demand. Good Vibes is not only the name of the studio, it is a reflection of the atmosphere here.

"I've been practicing yoga for twenty-five years, and Good Vibes Yoga is the best studio I've ever been a part of! I'm stronger and more centered than I've ever been, thanks to the teacher, Jyoti, whose humor, unpretentious demeanor, incredible teaching ability, dedication to her students, and the supportive environment she has created keeps me coming back. The variety and frequency of classes offered both on demand and in studio allow me to maintain my practice on my schedule and in my preferred safety level.

Update: I did the first review in the "before times". During the pandemic Good Vibes has been a grounding force. Joyti, the owner, has evolved the Covid precautions. In studio, vaccines and boosters are required and kept students and teachers safe. She also brilliantly allows all classes to be joined via zoom. If you can't join in real-time she sends on-demand recordings so you can join as convenient for you. Check out Good Vibes! If there were a higher star rating, I would give it!
I love Good Vibes Yoga! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It is truly an inclusive environment

Five stars isn't enough for Good Vibes Yoga! I've been going to Good Vibes for many years. It offers well-trained teachers, an inviting, cozy studio, and a welcoming community. The owner and primary teacher, Jyoti, goes the extra mile to have a safe and engaging practice both in-studio and on-line. I highly recommend Good Vibes if you are looking for a small studio with great teachers and good vibes. It is a treasure for Alexandria!

Good Vibes is a great yoga studio in the Alexandria area. The owner, Jyoti, really engages the students in class which strengthens the Good Vibes yogi community. Sun Flow is my favorite class since it’s faster paced, more cardio centered, and we get to enjoy sunrise views after a great workout. However, I also love Moon Flows after a long work day to help me unwind. If you’re looking for a great yoga studio in this area that is also COVID conscious (everyone in-studio is fully vaccinated but live, virtual classes are offered as well), check out Good Vibes!!

Attended the beginners class: I am completely new to yoga--in fact, this was my first ever class. I was incredibly impressed by the instructor's knowledge of yoga and the techniques to perfect it. She was delightful to listen to and patient with the class of beginners as we worked through the sun salutation sequence of moves. I was also grateful that the instructor was very cautious about safety in the performance of our yoga moves and with COVID precautions. I definitely recommend this studio, especially this basic yoga class for beginners.

***UPDATE 11.27.2020*** The studio has gone through great measures to re-open. The owner painstakingly hung double layers of curtains to create 4 socialy distant, private spaces, while maintaining the vibe of being in the studio. Your temperature is taken before you can enter, you then take all of you belongings to your space and close the curtains. Class is taught virtually from the studio, take your laptop or use your phone to get on the zoom meeting. It's better than taking the zoom class at home because you get the energy of the club AND the in person energy of the instructor. I get distracted

I've been coming here for a little over a month and I love this studio! It's small and clean, which is a nice change of pace from some of the more commercialized, high intensity style yoga spots. A variety of classes are offered, and the teachers are all super nice and accommodating. I originally came for Pilates, but I've found myself exploring and enjoying all of the classes.

I have been thinking about joining a yoga studio for the longest time. I had two criterias, close to home and small classes. Not only met Good Vibes Yoga those criterias but the teachers are wonderful and every time I go i feel so relaxed and at peace. Price value is wonderful and no parking problems. I highly recommend Good Vibes Yoga and I will be back soon.

This yoga studio is my happy place. I hadn't done yoga in years and found it very easy to go at my own pace. Good Vibes offers a lot of options for classes and many that are friendly to those who have to work a bit late. The pricing options are extremely reasonable, parking is a breeze, the studio itself is very clean and welcoming and the website is so easy to use to schedule classes. My husband, who was a beginner, has quickly become a fan at Good Vibes. Jyoti, the founder, is dedicated to making sure everyone's experience is positive, healthy, injury-free and productive.

I am hesitant to write a review because one of the things I love about this studio is the intimacy of the community we are building. Part of me would like to keep this secret gem of a yoga studio secret forever. However, I know that keeping a business secret only hurts the business and this ones deserves success. I've been practicing yoga for nearly a decade, but I've been at this studio only 6 months. In that time I have experienced incredible growth in strength (both mental and physical) and confidence in my practice. The teachers are all incredibly dedicated to building a community and helping

This has quickly become my favorite yoga studio. The studio is small but cozy and they offer a wide variety of classes. Parking is plentiful and free! All of the instructors are knowledgeable and welcoming. Jyoti is amazing and makes you feel welcome not only on your first class but each and every one after that! She has created such a wonderful community of yogis at all levels.

Fantastic little yoga studio. I have been twice and each time I left feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. I haven't been in a few weeks and I feel a bit hectic and frazzled, so I know I need to go back and find a way to wind down from the work week. It is in an odd location, but don't let that stop you from trying out a class.

This is an intimate, high quality yoga studio. The owner, Jyoti, is a lovely person and phenomenal teacher. There are little perks like tea, almonds and hair ties available and the studio space itself is clean, bright and beautiful. There is always parking available and mats to rent if you are a newbie. If you love yoga in an atmosphere that is accepting and friendly, or want to try yoga in a non-competitive space, Good Vibes is for you.

Good Vibes Yoga is the hidden gem of yoga in Alexandria.
You couldn't ask for a better atmosphere and a kinder instructor. I've taken many of Jyoti's classes and keep coming back for more.
The classes are fairly priced and there's FREE PARKING, something not found elsewhere in Alexandria.
Definitely worth a try!

Good Vibes is a cozy yoga studio located in the Bradlee Medical Center. There is ALWAYS parking, which is a real plus for me in a yoga studio. More importantly, however: the yoga is quality. Because it is a smaller studio, and because the instructors are so friendly and knowledgeable, you get personal attention in each yoga class without it being overbearing at all. This studio has a range of classes to suit different aspects of your practice: more restorative classes such as yin and yoga nidra, as well as more vigorous classes such as power sun flow. I will be attending classes at this studio
