These guys are only interested in catching the big fish in town. Contacted them on multiple occasions and even went to their office to chat about my needs. They seemed to have had interest in doing my measly 2K job but twice I was supposed to get a final quote and never got it. I never received those calls and didn't call them back neither. I have given Apex Audio more than enough chances to establish a business relationship but it seems they do not want our "small" and "petty" business.

I am very impressed with the work Apex did. The finished product was high quality and integrated well into our new construction (whole house Control 4 with inside/outside lights, speakers, garage door, gate integration). I think a lot of places could have done the same level of work. What separated Apex was how easy the team made the entire process. Clayton was very transparent and educational from the beginning. Last week our house had a very close lightning strike, taking out my Pre-Amp, and Epson 8350 Projector. I decided to order the very popular Epson 5040ub, and it arrived on Wednesday. After work my neighbor and I took down the 14 year old 8350, and proceeded to mount the new project in the old ceiling mount. For two hours we struggled with trying to get the four legs over the four pins, attaching the projector to the mount. Unfortunately the mount was rusted tight and after what was a total hassle, deciding we were to exhausted to continue and so we gave up.

I wanted a big screen experience in my living room without the clutter of lots visible electronics. It was a relatively small scale job but with some logistical challenges--lots of natural light and my wanting to "hide" the projector in the wall more than 15 feet away from the screen. I had two other companies (both rated highly) come out to bid on the job. One company just had no interest in doing the job and the other said it would be too expensive to give me everything I wanted. I ended up hiring these guys after spending so much money on a competitor in the Kingsland area that handled Control 4 Smart Home setup. I had spent over $250,000 and could not believe that they still after almost 18 months did not have my house up and running properly. But APEX came in, fixed everything, crazy crazy. I am so glad I had them take care of getting my 7000+ sq ft house up and running and could not be happier. I've added a star to my review after several conversations with Apex. They are clearly concerned with making me (and I assume all their customers) happy with them They were interested in whether we could modify the project to make sense for them. In the end I'm going with someone more comfortable with my job, but if the right project comes up in the future, I'd consider them again.

Apex Audio Video has done a couple of big projects for us - one new construction and one retro. In both cases, they did a great job! Clayton and his team are very knowledgable with the Control 4 system. They do a very thorough job and their goal is to have a satisfied customer! They continue to provide excellent customer service! Clayton is always so prompt in returning my calls and either Paul or Robert is over to take care of the situation - even small things - in no time! And always with a smile!! Great group of guys!

I used Apex to install speakers in our media room, speakers in our kitchen and outdoor patio ceilings, Control4 connectivity, and stronger wifi access. I initially made the mistake of not placing a budget on the entire project, so when I received the initial bid, it was a bit out of my price range. After talking with Clayton over budget, he immediately worked out another bid that comfortably fit the price range I gave. I really liked that because he could've done what other companies have done (from my experience) - treated me like a less important client because there was less money in it

I recent bought a house built in '84 in NW Hills. I wanted to put a 55" LCD TV & sound bar on my stone fire place. I had two other companies and Apex bid the project. They were not as creative as Clayton and his team. He saw that we could run the cable, and power in the chimney and up to the master closet. We used an IR to control it all from one remote control. This made the living room so clean, I was very impressed.
Secondly I inherited a projector in one of the other rooms from the previous owner. Still in great shape

After my first communication with Clayton, I knew this was the company I would happily work with.
I'm an experienced owner with Control 4 and media set up for the house, and needed someone to continue and expand my project when I felt the first company I worked with was going through much too many learning curves.
I did a lot of vetting around for a new company, but the choice was clear. Apex does a great job with communication, knowledgeable, punctual, creates solution, offers competitive/fair pricing, and services with courtesy.

I usually do all my own A/V projects because I'm usually disappointed in the price, quality, and lack of knowledge of the service reps that show up. Out of necessity I called Apex to repair a control 4 box (have to use a dealer to repair). i was so impressed with there price, workmanship and knowledge that I ended up hiring them to clean up my a/v closet wiring and install some new control 4 components.
All I can say is no more DIY for me! I've finally found a company who shows up on time, does what they say they will do, they do it quickly and for a fair price. Top notch company

Just moved to Austin and used Apex to build out our media room and whole house system. Now I listen to airplay on my patio, or in my master bathroom. I watch airplay in my living room or enjoy my incredible curved tv in my media room. I have to say Clayton and Robert and the team have been really incredible. Everything works great (from my iPhone and ipad no less) and the rare occasion that something has come up like storm related issues or when I wanted to make a change they were here same day, I really can't recommend them enough.
