Services
Psoriasis is characterized by thickened, red areas of skin covered by white/silvery scales. Psoriasis is not contagious and cannot be spread to another person by any means. The development of psoriasis is thought to be inherited because it tends to occur in families. Aggravating factors may include injury to the skin, change of season, general health factors, infections, and certain medications.
A fungus is a small plant that can grow on the skin. Fungal infections can occur anywhere on the body and thrives in warm, dark, moist areas. The feet, groin area, and under the breasts are particularly inviting spots for such infections. Symptoms include well-defined redness in the affected area, scaling, itching, burning, and sometimes small blisters.
It is normal to lose some hair every day. A hair loss of 80 to 120 hairs a day is considered to be within the normal range. Accelerated loss cycles can be caused by pregnancy, illness, surgery, stress, dieting, etc. This type of hair loss will usually self-resolve over time. Other causes of hair loss are multiple and varied.
On average an individual may have up to sixty moles by early adulthood. One or two are present at birth, while most develop during life. Over time moles have a tendency to enlarge and stick out. Most of the time this is completely normal. The majority of moles will never cause any problems. However, changes in moles or any other spots on the skin can indicate a potential problem.
Shingles comes from the very same virus that causes the chicken pox. Once you have had the chicken pox the virus remains dormant in the nerve tissue beneath the skin. For any number of reasons, the virus reactivates many years later, causing shingles. Shingles are contagious and are easily passed through touch, it appears frequently among adults over the age of 60 and in those with a compromised immune system.

Dr.Daoud and her staff have been absolutely amazing since the beginning. Not only is she my dermatologist but I also get my cosmetic procedures done with her. The staff and doctor Daoud were so friendly and personal, I almost felt like I was at the spa. After years of other doctors giving me inadequate care for my eczema I've already seen improvement beyond my imagination just 2 days after starting medication. The only downside was the specialist copay I have with my insurance, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat after these results. Thanks glo!

Shaza Daoud and her team are AMAZING! I went in for a consultation and ended up being treated immediately! How convenient!? We discussed my concerns, she explained to me what was going, what the treatment would be, and the cost. I love Dr. Daoud. I came to her for acne scars and breakouts. I went to another dermatologists who strongly encouraged me to go for fractional laser, but I was so scared as it’s very aggressive and takes a long time to heal. Dr. Daoud suggested micro needling. I LOVE my skin again. Only three treatments in and the change has been very obvious. I don’t need heavy foundation anymore. I only use concealer. I don’t break out anymore.
