In 2011 we recognized a need for the youth and families in North Long Beach to celebrate who they are; with their unique gifts and talents and the value they bring to the community. For so many years, this area of Long Beach has been defined by the economic realities of the community rather than by the amazing and diverse people that occupy it! With that the Act Out Theatre Company partnered with Light & Life Community Center to offer tuition-free theatre and arts education to people of all ages in the LBC.
Services
The individuals, families and businesses who support us represent the muscle behind the program. Without them, we would be unable to continue offering all the different opportunities at no or low cost to our participants. We offer several sponsorship levels and each includes unique benefits to our sponsors including free or discounted tickets to all shows throughout the year, preferred seating, marketing and advertising benefits and more.

This program is absolutely stellar. First it is tuition-free. Children from the area are invited to come in and audition they are believed in and they are given an opportunity to shine. And shine they do. Under the direction of Travis Wade and volunteers, the children always do an outstanding job. If you were looking for a great theater to enjoy or participate in, or a good cause to support, please visit Act Out Long Beach. Our family and our community have been blessed by this program!

Love this venue...been coming here for years. I know the lights gal.....small, intimate, free dessert, reasonable ticket price, dinner shows, great props, wonderful decorations, nice people and a great opportunity for anyone whom wants to act - tuition-free, participate, help with a community effort.

Wow! Another fabulous production (Aladdin Jr.)!
Actors, costumes, scenery, choreography, direction---everything was top notch!!
Kudos to Travis & Katie Wade who provide a tuition free theatre program for Long Beach youth, with the help of Light & Life Community Center (Pastor Deb Walkemeyer, director) and Light & Life Christian Fellowship.
I can hardly wait for the spring production (Alice in Wonderland)!!

What an amazing tuition free program! My children have been a part of a few productions and we couldn't be more thankful for their experiences. From the Program founders to everyone behind the scenes of each production (sound, make-up artists, set builders, customs designers, etc.), it's been a wonderful time getting to know everyone.
