CSAcu - Community Supported Acupuncture operates on a sliding scale of $40-$100, pay what you can. A unique clinic offering gentle, effective, Japanese-style affordable acupuncture and every friday donation based group acupuncture. The reduced price at the clinic does not reflect the quality of care you will receive.
Mateo believes that each person deserves his absolute best, while also being able to afford treatments. The CSAcu model aims at striking that balance between personal, compassionate, quality care with affordability. His experience working in overworked public clinics as well as in private, individual settings has led him to develop this unique approach.

Services
Access to affordable health care, and to healthy food, are both crucial to helping a community thrive. We observe that too often in our society, healthy activities like eating organic local produce, as well as health care and alternative therapies, come at a price inaccessible to everyday people. Like the agriculture model, Community Supported Acupuncture allows more people to be able to afford healthy activities.

To prevent is to keep something from happening, which is exactly what we want to do with diseases, sickness, pain, etc. Nutrition, the first thing I want to know about; what are you putting in your mouth? What are you feeding your body? We have to stop eating junk and start eating nutritious foods that bring life to every cell in the body.

Mateo is a wise and skillful practitioner who has brought incredible support to my entire family (three generations!) for a number of years now. Mateo has treated our family with great care through everything from seasonal allergies and common colds to bone fractures and full blown autoimmune illness. No matter what we show up with, Mateo attentively meets us where we are with compassionate, patient-centered and effective care. I am also a huge advocate for community-supported models of care and am so thankful that Community Supported Acupuncture is cultivating opportunities in Louisville for access

I have been going to this clinic for two years now. Mateo has become an integral part of my health journey. He is not only competent in what he does but his heart is invested in it as well. He cares for his patients and provides a safe environment for healing. I am so thankful to be a part of the community of people that are under his care.

If you haven't seen Mateo yet -- go. We have both been seeing Mateo together for over a year and the level of care we have received has been painless and outstanding. When we do have to get traditional care we wish our GP was as attentive, caring, and loving as the service we have received from him. Mateo has helped us with chronic neck pain, detox after surgery, allergies, and anything else on an as-needed basis as well as a sweet hug as we're leaving. He is a good guy and we want to adopt him :)

Best medical treatment I have received in quite a while. Mateo is extremely knowledgeable and has an exemplary bedside manner. With Mateo's guidance and acupuncture sessions, my knee injury was healed without surgery. I am so grateful. I could not have asked for a better place to receive treatment. Having access to such high quality care at an affordable price is immeasurable. From Mateo's extensive training and experience to the atmosphere of the clinic, I give Community Supported Acupuncture five stars all the way.
