Dr. Elaine Sunga is a long-time resident of southern San Diego County and a graduate of Bonita Vista High School. She attended the University of California at Los Angeles, where she received a B.S. in Biology and graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Sunga went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from UCLA, one of the top dental institutions in the country.

Best orthodontist in SD! From day one, the staff and Dr. Sunga have been outstanding during my treatment. Could not express my gratitude enough to everyone in the office. The best part about Sunga Orthodontics is the family type atmosphere they display, y'all have always treated my family very well. I will be forever indebted to Dr. Sunga and staff. My kid needs some special attention to their teeth situation. The pediatric dentist referred us to dr Sunga's office.
The office is very clean.
The staff are all soooo friendly and patient.
I appreciate the care and consideration they take in keeping their care patient centered, they really want to get to know their patients! And they take their time in explaining everything carefully and thoroughly, no matter the age.
Communication is easy.
Costs are discussed without transparency and a payment plan can be worked out to your comfort.

I had my first consultation with the office today.
Let me start by saying WOW!! The girls in the front were supper amazing and made me feel welcomed. Trish made my appointment and was super sweet to kept me updated on cancellation in case I wanted to come in sooner. Johnathan took my pictures for the consultation with Dr.Sunga. He made me feel comfortable and asked all the right questions. He stayed focused on what my concerns were. I was coming in for a second consultation and let's just say I'll be starting treatment with them soon. I left like a patient not just a chart number.

Great friendly staff and very attentive to their clients. You can tell they are perfectionist and care about their clients. My only complaint is not in regards to their service but a personal issue with their air fresheners . They are extremely over powering for someone with chronic migraines I dread the days I have to take my son other than that we are very happy to have found Johnatan and Dr. Sunga.

I had braces with Dr Sunga for about a year & a half. There so amazing & friendly. They really know what there doing and every time I walk in ( still do for retainers) there always so welcoming & I love them! I would definitely recommend going here for quality braces and people who truly care about there work & product.

We took our daughter to Dr. Sunga on the recommendation of a co-worker. This is where professionalism and friendliness meet!
Dr. Sunga and her staff are so customer oriented and provide such great service that not only did we decide to take our daughter there, but I also decided to start my own treatment. I am almost done with it, and it's soon to be our son's turn!

My daughter has been going to Dr. Sunga's office for about a year and a half now. I can't say enough good things about how great Dr Sunga is, her amazing staff, and how efficient and friendly they are. As I've told many others who are on the hunt for a good Orthodontist, Dr Sunga and her office should be the model for how all doctor's offices should be run. Really friendly, airy, and no-stress environment - after a few consultations with different ortho doctors, my kid (who has to get the braces) chose Dr. Sunga because she felt comfortable and relaxed with her - Dr. Sunga was kind, sweet, gentle, and very caring - shoot, I would have picked her too!!! Anyways, Johnathan explains everything, works with you to get stuff the way you need it to be for payments, and I love that they have the technology - no goopy impressions of the teeth, instead, digital pics!! nice!

How great is it to have an office where kids want to go. My daughter had her first visit here last week and absolutely loved it. They cater to her needs, she's the patient, and they understand she's the one that needs to be comfortable. Not only do they have the best service of any medical/health office I've ever seen, they also have the best looking office. This place looks amazing! I wish my home looked that good.

Needed to get my permanent retainer replaced after 17yrs. Dr. Sunga did a wonderful job-- quick & painless! They are very thorough, and explain to you all their options.. no pressure at all. Their new location is beautiful... More spa-like than a dental office. Definitely recommend her for any orthodontic needs ;)

Our 7 year old grandson, Rio, is being treated by Dr. Sunga. As doting grandparents, we could not be happier. Mae, at the front desk, is always pleasant and has the most welcoming smile. Jonathan, in the back office, is exceptionally kind and understanding. As for Dr. Sunga, you will not find a more caring or patient orthodontist. We feel blessed that our grandson is in their care.
