Services
Christy/Cobb is located at 2320 Highland Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama. We have a staff with diverse skills and technical interests. All are engaged in professional and community organizations. Outside consultants often work as a team with members of the firm bringing together the skills and knowledge pertinent to the project.
CCI teamed up with Architecture Works and Brasfield and Gorrie to provide Girl's Incorporated with an outdoor classroom located at their Headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. CCI provided the structural engineering of the 16 feet by 24 feet pavilion. CCI worked with CCR Architecture and Interiors, the YWCA and Keeton General Contractors on the project.
Gray is the President of Christy/Cobb, Inc. He is also a Senior Project Engineer who has been with Christy/Cobb since 1989. His projects include numerous residential, commercial, institutional, industrial and bridge projects. He has a strong engineering design background as well as project management and construction oversight skills.
Christy/Cobb provides services in the design of new bridges, reparation, renovation and expansion of existing bridges. Christy/Cobb was responsible for the structural engineering design of a 100 foot long pedestrian suspension bridge over Black Creek at Noccalula Falls Park. The bridge connects hiking trails on each side of the creek downstream of Noccalula Falls.
Christy/Cobb, provides design services for many types of buildings including; educational, residential, medical, industrial, municipal and church facilities. Christy/Cobb provided the structural design for the new two-story 46,154 square foot football operations facility, foundation for the 85,000 square foot practice facility and miscellaneous ancillary structures.

I work for a property preservation and repair management company and often have to find structural engineers to assess out properties. I called in to Christy/Cobb and spoke with Lowell. She is very polite and friendly, kept me updated through the entire process and she delivered a quality report in a timely manner with excellent service. Highly recommend this firm, they will make your life ten times easier.
