Clean the right way. It's important you should brush after every meal and floss at least once a day. First, make sure you chose toothpaste that has fluoride. Secondly, do not rush through this process- take the time to brush the front and the back of each tooth. Brushing slowly also minimizes discomfort.
My two teenagers had been patients of Dr. Barakat for their orthodontic experience. Dr. Barakat is absolutely wonderful! Her expertise with teeth and beautiful smiles are stellar! She explained the treatment process thoroughly and described the upcoming stages of orthodontic tooth movement we would be able to see during the treatment process.

The most welcoming office I’ve ever been to! The staff is always so friendly and Dr. Barakat is so knowledgeable, communicative and a perfectionist (which is exactly what I need in an orthodontist). I cannot say enough about how much we love Opus 1!!! I have had two children receive treatment, and we are so happy with the care their team provides. The office staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Barakat takes the time to get to know her patients and their families. She explains the treatment plan thoroughly to parents and the kids so everyone knows what to expect. We have had a wonderful experience!!!

I just finished my invisilign and I am super happy with my result! Dr. Barakat is a perfectionist like me so she wouldn’t stop until my teeth were perfect. She is very talented and smart. I was so lucky to find such a great orthodontist. The clinic is very clean and decorated in a modern fun way. All the equipment is state of the art. I definitely recommend Opus 1 for any of your orthodontic needs!

I switched from a previous orthodontist to Dr. Barakat and I am so happy with my decision to do so. Dr. B takes the time to explain everything and gives you tons of feedback on how your treatment is going which I appreciate so much. One thing I commend Dr. B for, is that she continues her education to offer the best care possible. The staff & dental assistants are also very friendly and incredibly professional.
I highly recommend Opus 1 to anyone!

This is the best orthodontist to go to in the valley hands down! Dr. Baracat walked me through the whole process of getting Invisalign and made me feel at ease. Jessica is so welcoming and also very helpful! She is the sweetest! The girls at the office are amazing and I'm so happy I made the choice to go with Opus1!

This was my first orthodontic experience and there just aren't words to express my gratitude! The staff EXCEPTIONAL. The Doctor equally as EXCEPTIONAL. I drove quite a ways to see this particular doctor and she was kind enough to do same day treatment for my daughter. She was honest and recommended that I wait a few months for my son's adult molars to come it. I think most would have just sold me braces twice. I had a dental emergency and I was freaking out! I had impacted Canine Surgery 8 months ago and I thought that the tooth they were pulling down broke in half along w/the chain! So, I scheduled an appointment here from a referral from Scottsdale and Shea Dental Group! I came in, filled in some papers, and was attended to 10 minutes later. Then Dr. Barakat had her assistant take some pictures and reassured me that it was not my tooth. It was the GLUE holding it together. While at my dentist for a cleaning, I mentioned that I might want to refine my smile...she recommended Opus 1. I called amd mentioned to the staff that I'm pretty particular and somewhat a perfectionist. The owner, Dr Barakat, called me right back to discuss what I wanted to do. I decided to go with Invisalign. Dr Barakat and her staff are so welcoming and friendly. I told my husband about them and he too got Invisalign. The entire staff is wonderfully friendly and welcoming. My 12 year old son was nervous about having braces but Dr. Barakat was patient and gentle and kind. She explained in detail the process and even shared video tutorials for him to watch so he understood exactly what was going to happen before he began. I highly recommend Opis 1 Orthodontic Studio.

Dr. Barakat and her staff are excellent. Very happy with the course of treatment so far - we came here for a second opinion and she really listened to my concerns and developed a treatment plan to address them. Everyone is very nice, and when you need to schedule or reschedule they provide fantastic customer service. The office is clean and upbeat. They have a selfie station and iPads for the kids, so they're never bored while waiting to go back. The kids don't seem to use them very often, though, because they are efficient never seem to run late, at least when we're here. Very happy

Dr. Barakat is a wonderful orthodontist and her staff is exceptional! I have six children, four of which have previously had braces. We recently moved and I needed to find a new Orthodontist. I could not be more thrilled to have found Dr. Barakat! I wish I would've been able to have that exceptional experience with my other four children.
