Dr. Vakili is a different kind of dentist, she takes the time to get to know each and every one of her patients, and treats them with the utmost care. As a prosthodontist, Dr. Vakili specializes in masterful cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, including dental implants and cosmetic dentures. She's built a responsible, patient-devoted practice providing the most sophisticated dental care in a relaxed and pleasant setting.

You might notice that your teeth become discolored due to the food and drinks you consume. Using tobacco can really stain your teeth. Sometimes medications and injuries can change the color of your teeth.
You do not need to come in to the office to be seen! Using our telemedicine platform, Dr. Vakili can consult with you "face to face" and recommend a treatment plan. We can also schedule an in-person appointment for as soon as we re-open, so that you don't have to wait to be seen by your regular provider.
We understand how intimidating visiting a dentist for the first time can be. Not only can the paperwork be overwhelming, but also many people are anxious about going to the dentist. I had neglected my teeth for a long time. I ended up with an abscessed tooth. I called in and luckily got an appointment that day. While there I asked about my opinions of getting all the repairs needed. And now I’m going about once a month getting the dental work taken care of. I go to the office in Powey very nice office and a lot of parking easy to get to the location.
The Dr. is absolutely assume very detailed in the plan for my dental work. She also is very gentle with the work she is performing. She is fantastic!!!

More than a year ago I was looking to have crowns on my implants due to my longtime Dentist messing my crowns and my husbands crowns. Found Gateway Smiles and after consultations with Dr. Vakili and Dr. Leyla explained what needs done, I am happy with the outcome. I had recently got my permanent crowns and Dr. Leyla did great, I feel more comfortable and my new crowns look natural.

I highly recommend Dr. Valkili and her entire team. I came in to her distraught over losing a 5 tooth bridge, along with the rest of my upper teeth showing many problems. I went from a woman who had a great smile to one facing losing her teeth and not much to work with due to bone loss in my upper jaw.

Today I found out not all dentists are created equal. This place came highly recommended by a friend. It did not disappoint! Clean and friendly. The hygienist, Jessica, was friendly, very thorough and gentle. The dentist was also very pleasant and kind. Can't praise this place enough! I've never been so happy after a cleaning. I can't wait for my next appointment in six months.

Felt like implant special was not real. Sudden request for additional 1k for cow bone(50% increase)when the doctor said bone was already sufficient. Took full set of xrays before quote.
Refused to make temporaries that day even if I signed up and paid with insurance. Happy to send me off the way I came. Not good.
Office was clean. Office was sophisticated in tech. Second star for that. 0 for addressing my concerns.

I have been impressed with the dedication of Gateway Smiles and Implant Center. I broke my temporary and was scheduled to go out of town. Dr. Leila, Xia and their team made it sure that it can be fixed, that I would have my temporary back on time.

I have not had such a good experience going to the dentist since I was a child. The staff was friendly and caring. Suggestions were just that not accusations and made you want to take better care of yourself. I was even allowed to play music while I had my cleaning and the hygienist thanked me for sharing it. I actually look forward to going back.

My jaw joints have no disks due to aging/arthritis, so bite was badly misaligned, crackling and painful. I could not chew without pain and crown broke from being the only contact point. My regular dentist referred me to a TMJ specialist who did alot of testing and came up with a VERY expensive treatment plan. I researched other TMJ specialists closer to home and found Dr Vakili. She also did a consult and her treatment plan was more reasonable. She started with a corrective bite plate which eased pain, then after careful tests, replaced a few crowns which like MAGIC enables me to chew properly

One day recently my front tooth broke off. I immediately visited with two nearby prosthodontists and was not happy with the high price of an implant plus the fact that they could only do part of the job and my regular dentist would have to finish the job.
So I did a web search and found Gateway Smiles. They had actually setup a Google ad that offered a fair price for dental implants and the ad indicated they could do everything in one place. At first I was suspicious because of the good price, but I figured if they were smart enough to setup google ads they deserve a chance, so I setup an appointment

I went to see this doctor based on a special she was running on Web site 1299.99 per arch. Free consultation. I got there after she saw my situation she quoted me 3000.00 per arch!! Implants more. And charged me without my permission 175.00. I have disputed it and she will not return my money.. I am reporting her to the Board; false advertising. A waste of my time and hers. Misleading!!

If you are searching for a dentist who is kind, compassionate, gentle & really cares about her patients then I urge you to try Dr. Vakili. She has been my dentist for about 19 years now and I always appreciate that she really listens to my needs and concerns. She is top notch & her staff has always been extraordinary over the years!!! Pegga is the best dental hygienist I have ever been to. I have been living outside of the San Diego area for the past 12 years and I travel from a far distance to see Dr. Vakili and Pegga. I have tried other hygienists but find they are not as thorough
