Our welcoming veterinary staff is eager to help you and your pet with your animal care needs. Dr. Starke Mueller moved to Saint Anthony Park in 2014, three years after completing his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota.
It didn't take long before he fell in love with the community and invested in a plot of land next to the Hampden Coop with plans to open a veterinary clinic and to help his four-legged neighbors and their caregivers.Minnepau Veterinary Clinic was founded with a dream to help people by caring for and healing their animals in the community where he lives with his wife and four children.

Minnepau is a small animal veterinary clinic established in 2020 in the Saint Anthony Park neighborhood of Saint Paul. Our health center provides routine preventative care for healthy pets, sick calls, vaccinations, dentistry and surgery services, as well as diagnostic and disease treatment for aging animals.
For over 100 years the intersection of Raymond and Hampden Avenues, where Minnepau is located, has held retail shops that have brought the community together. Minnepau is a full service veterinary clinic providing wellness care, diagnostics, vaccinations, surgery, and dental exams. Payment in full is due at the time of service. Your furry family member can't talk. That's why we believe that annual wellness exams are essential to make sure your pet stays healthy.
Mueller at Minnepau has provided excellent care for our 13-year old Labrador Retriever! He looks at his care holistically and with such compassion. Dr. Mueller explains everything very carefully, follows up to make sure everything is going ok, and his pricing is very reasonable. He makes things very simple with online scheduling and prescription services.

I have a rescue pup with HIGH anxiety. MinnePau's staff have been kind, attentive and patient as we have worked to get the right treatment for my dog. They have been professional, understanding and I appreciate their genuine care for my dog. Other vets we saw were condescending and treated my dog like a checklist rather than actually listening to everything had already tried & were working on.

We love this place. Every time we have gone, they have been stellar. Everything is very reasonably priced, especially for the care that you receive. Our kitten was having some problems with her breathing and they were able to see us within 30 minutes. I couldn't imagine taking my kitten anywhere else.

Doc was all booked up yet was understanding of my concerns so he made time to see my pupp right away. Wait time was literally a few minutes. The staff was attentive, understanding, and comforting. I won’t be taking my pupp anywhere else. Great business, thank you guys 🙏🏽 First 5 star I’ve givin.

I've been taking my dog here for about 9 months. They are very kind, thorough and professional. I was home treating her for a hot spot (not her first) but took her in for shaving over the spot. Much larger than I thought so glad I took her in. There was no charge for the shave and was told just to continue how I was doing. Love the vets and clinic!

I found this clinic desperately searching for a neuter for my new cat as soon as possible. The time was right, the price was right, the service was right. The service so far continues to be right, and it's a pleasure to bring my cats to Minnepau Veterinary Clinic. The technicians and vets are very knowledgeable and have great attitudes, and the fair pricing is worth the service.

Dr. Mueller and his staff are wonderful veterinarians to our Little Corgi, Alphonse. After having bad experiences at other Vets in the Metro, Minnepau comes top of mind above all others. We’ve had a vasectomy done with beautiful, precise incisions (one of the only DVM’s in the state to do so) none-overdosing vaccination schedule. Dr. Mueller looks at the latest research and tells you, for my analytical mind, this puts me at ease and I agree often with the advice he and his staff offers. Although we move to Chicago at the end of the Summer, we will continue to come back while in MN and encourage

My pup Ron is an elder and terribly afraid of vets. Minnepau is truly exceptional - so loving and takes time to build trust with Ron, they are patient, and professional. I took my two kitties here for some bladder problems. They were excellent from beginning to end! Dr. Mueller was very caring and kind towards Robin and Maggie. The utmost care was given to them and they LOVED the big windows in the waiting rooms and lobby. Bringing cats into the vet is never easy, especially now, but Dr. Mueller and his team made this trip a breeze. Our Cat tax below!
