John Vigliotti is the owner and grew up three blocks away from the original Peppino's Restaurant & Catering Company, but he did not set foot in the restaurant until he was 18 years old. Unless he was at his uncle's pizza shop, the chances of him eating food outside of his home were slim. In his family of Italian immigrants, he said, no one ate meals out or got their food delivered.

Most places you go to are willing to make minor adjustments to items for customers, especially if they have allergies, but not here. The owner basically told me I eat the food as it is or don't eat at all 😕. I thought that was very rude and inconsiderate to say the least but not really much I can do right? On to the next 🤷🏾♂️

I really wanted to like the pizza. I got the PS2. The cheese, crust, and toppings were all great. But where's the sauce on my pizza!? There was probably twice as much of the creamy ricotta as there was sauce, to give you an idea (the creamy ricotta is sparsely placed dollops). Not exaggerating when I say that 90% of the pizza had ZERO SAUCE (no, I'm not saying it was too thinly spread, I'm saying there was none at all in 90% of the pizza), just cheese fused to bread. It's sad giving it this review, because it had a lot of potential. There's a tomato in your logo, so embrace that wonderful tomato

During an extremely important weekend where things did not seem to go right, Peppinos was there. They catered a rehearsal dinner for us the night before our wedding and were able to handle the rain without issue. The crew that showed up was kind, understanding, generous, and flexible with the situation. They were truly there to cater to all of our needs and made everything possible. In addition, the food was fantastic! I think we have found our new pizza supplier! Thank you Peppinos and your staff for everything you did to make that crazy night amazing and stress free!

I stayed at the Pilot, ordered a plain Pepperoni,Sausage medium.
The delivery guy brought it as promised in 45 min., boiling hot, untouched,fresh, delicious!!!
Gave him $10.00 tip , it was worth EVERY PENNY!!

Ordered via new app Slice. App worked well, but restaurant failed to read/honor request for ricotta as an extra topping on the pizza alla vodka. Pizza arrived on time but was over-cooked. The crust was crunchy, and the cheese was tough indicating that had it been left in the oven a minute longer would have been burnt. Flavor of the sauce was good, and the pie would benefit from more of it. Was it horrible? No, I've had much worse. Was it worth $20 ($28 with tax, delivery fee and tip)? No. Will I order it again? No.

Ordered pizza from here yesterday. Used a third-party app to place the order, mid afternoon, between lunch and dinner, and after waiting some time got a message that it was taking longer than expected with an updated ETA. Not a huge deal. Sometimes apps and businesses aren't in sync, but it's worth keeping in mind that this is a possibility, so give yourself time to order!

What has happened to this place? Is it new management? Used to love their food but now it seems it's disappointing (crap) every time. Last night ordered and paid for 2 chicken caesar salads. They were delivered with no chicken. Also ordered bread sticks which were pictured as sticks. Those showed up as flat pizza dough cut in strips..... They call it "artisan bread"... Right! I really liked this pizza. The crust was crisp, yet still floppy, with the tiniest bit of char. Really nice. To be an above-average pizza, the toppings and cheese need to stay in place on the journey from hand to mouth. Peppino's nailed it in that regard.
The proportions of cheese and pepperoni were just right, the sauce robust with a hint of herbs. We grabbed a 2-liter bottle of Pepsi, but no ice was available. Tsk, tsk. I attempted to order 3 pizzas, breadsticks, and mozzarella sticks through like grub hub or something. I received a call back that they were out of the white sauce needed for two of the pizzas so we changed to a vodka sauce pizza and another red sauce one. They called back
Shortly and said they can't do the vodka sauce either. No huge deal, we changed to all 3 red sauce pizzas.
The food arrived more or less on time and the delivery driver (who was quite friendly) said "o don't know if they told you but they couldn't do the breadsticks". The food itself was good, no complaints

Have had a few run in's here at both locations. My first complaint at the downtown Syracuse location is the rude hostess and staff. Secondly I ordered from the Grant Blvd and my order was accepted then cancelled on me when I was on my way to get it. The phone did not work to call and ask what was going on. My call kept going to voicemail. I've heard good and bad things but have only experience bad. Pizza is eh

I will start off by saying the pizza is not cut traditionally. While Im not a fan, the flavor is amazing. If ordering on their website, you can customize your pizza quite a bit to your taste.
Now we havent just ONLY got pizza. We have had the chicken tenders, which I was quite amazed at. I would say they are superior to Tully's. The flavor is great and always cooked to perfection (5 orders on 5 different days).

My brother and I ordered $100 worth of food. No blue cheese with the wing. Called and was told blue cheese only comes with certain wing, sound like some BS to me. They told us that we were out of luck. Everything is covered in honey... Honey doesn't belong on pizza! Gross AF! Salad was wilted and rotten. Staff was rude. Will not be ordering again and I will not recommend this place to anyone. Way over priced and disgusting. Total disappointment. I don't care who you are, blue cheese comes with wings and honey on pizza is disgusting.

This was once my favorite pizza place. They had a delicious gluten free pizza, delivery was quick, and it was worth the price. The gluten free crust has changed and now you get 4 little loaves of bread with pizza toppings. There's so much bread and it has a weird (tapioca and rice I think) flavor that over takes the whole thing because it's so thick. Sadly I won't be back and will have to resort to Unos. I wish there was a notification that the crust changed on the website because that was a waste of 18 bucks.

I live around the corner from this Peppinos. It doesn't matter what I order, when it is delivered, it's a total crap shoot if they got it right. I ordered tonight, and once again, the order was incorrect. I called them and said I was done with ordering from them. The female manager response was, "Sorry you feel that way." And she hangs up. So my advice is to go out and spend your hard earned money where you can see the service you are getting and ask for corrections if need be. Also, this Peppinos doesn't offer money back, just $3 dollar coupons they expect you to use within

Terrible. My boss decided to treat all of us to lunch today with pizza and wings. We ordered sometime around 1pm, when we called an hour and a half later to check up on our order, they told us some non-sense about just getting the order via fax from GrubHub. Fax? Really? Another hour and a half passed before we called again. The delivery lady finally showed up...with leathery, sauceless, flavorless wings and a barely warm,

Let me start by saying that it his very difficult for me to love Pizza from anywhere. 3 Stars is certainly a pizza place I would go to and order from again.
Whenever I try a pizza joint for the first time, I am a pizza purist and only order cheese or margherita. The dough was a bit too chewy for me and the sauce could have been a bit more robust, but overall a decent slice.
I look forward to my next opportunity to order from here and try one of their specialty pies.

We ordered the steakhouse pie for delivery. When it arrived it did not have cheese on it. When I called the restaurant, they told me "they don't send pizzas out without cheese and it must have been the driver." (I guess the driver must have picked off all of the cheese...) We ordered through Grubhub. I asked the woman I was speaking to if she was calling me a liar. After getting nowhere with the woman I called Grubhub and they were much more professional in handling the matter. I actually almost didn't eat here because of the reviews. That would have been a huge mistake, you have to overlook The other idiotic reviews about size and price. These people are used to eating junk pies off tv commercials for $5 and $10....

Paid $18 for a medium pizza that looked like a personal size i could get for $5 elsewhere. Ordered a Four Cheese Pizza told the lady this looked like a regular cheese pizza when i opened the box she took it to the cook and he just slapped cold ricotta cheese on the top instead of making me a new one. How professional. Not HAPPY. Wont be returning.
