And we WELCOME suggestions and recommendations for future beers to put into rotation.
The Evergreen menus feature a variety of items selected and prepared by our talented kitchen team, with a focus on using locally-sourced ingredients and providing a number of great vegetarian, gluten-free and organic options - many items that are not can be made vegetarian, just ask! I was overcharged on a drink (beer) I ordered, with my added tip larger than the amount I signed for on my receipt. Not sure what happened, if the waiter or waitress changed my tip after I signed or what. I was charged a $3 tip on a beer when I signed for a $1 tip .Very inappropriate and should be investigated.

Came here the other night and had an outstanding time. They had a sign on the door saying that there were only two people working and to expect slower service. I appreciate it the candor and up front notice. That said, the two guys working out front were kicking butt. They worked really hard and did an outstanding job.
They have one of the best whiskey and bourbon selections I've ever seen and their prices are very fair.
We got the chips and sausage and cheese dip appetizer which was out of this world good.

Worst server ive ever experience. Been a server and bartender for 7 years, was told we are the worst tables to have been in the restaurant even though we spent less than an hour in the restaurant total. Told use we "went to the bathroom too much". Was told by my friends its a great place but was immensely disappointed, brought a few of my friends nto tears on how rude the staff was, will not recommend to anyone.

Everything was amazing. We had a couple cocktails that were well made and delicious. For starters we had the brussel sprouts. Let me tell you what! Dinner, my wife had the lamb burger and I had the evergreen burger. Slap your mamma and shut the front door. The flavors were amazing. Top all this off with a great wait staff that really takes care of their customer.

WOW! I've lived in the area for 6 months and this is by far the best experience I've had. Staff was outstanding and Steven served us while tending bar. Normally this combo scares me but this guy knocked it out of the park! For being in the center of the city this place was refreshing! Clean, the bar was well maintained.
Our food was outstanding! Perfect portion size appropriate for the price We absolutely were not disappointed. I would award them an extra star if I could! Please go here.

On a Friday night I came in here expecting there to be a wait for service, which there was. We waited about 45 minutes for food but the food was phenomenal, the female server taking care of us apologizing profusely because the kitchen was backed up but the food was worth the wait, our burgers were cooked perfect, the fries were AMAZING. Drinks were great too! If you plan on coming here expect there to be a wait though

Great Cauliflower "wings" to start and a killer sirloin burger that was huge and delicious. Order it done more than you typically order it. My medium was rare.
My grandson had the Mac and cheese with bacon, also delicious and more than he could eat. Service by the receptionist, server and whatever was super. Food came quickly and was hot.

It's a nice little out of the way bar. I got a cocktail there and it was pretty good. Didn't have any available outdoor seats, so I sat inside at the bar. Staff is okay. The bartender didn't give me my change for my drink. I don't know if they thought it was their tip or something (which I would have left anyway) but I was the only one at the bar so unlikely they forgot about it.

Over 90 minutes waiting for our meal?!! The restaurant was a bit over half full so I just can't understand the timing, and no explanation was offered. But if the extreme wait wasn't enough to discourage you from visiting, let me also say the food wasn't worth the time we spent.
First note, several of the items we wanted were not available. We ordered the nachos which were served with a huge scoop of sour cream, probably close to a cup. Evergreen is a great spot to grab a craft beer. Stopped after class for dinner and a drink. Full bar too, not just craft beer. I've historically ordered burgers here, and they've always been good. However, my last visit led me to order the mac and cheese. Was very, very tasty. Great spot, if a little pricey!

Loved this place for drinks! Supposedly the food is fantastic, but when I was there, there was a 1.5 hour wait on food. It should be worth it, but plan ahead. In the meantime I suggest sitting at the bar and trying the various beers and cocktails they offer. The house margarita was great, I highly recommend it. Its a nice place to take a small group of friends for intimate conversation. Looking forward to going back!

I've been here only twice, both times for brunch, and both times I got the brunch poutine. So while I don't have a ton to review on, I still really like this little spot and will continue to go back. Its a great part the food scene downtown.
Bingo brunch--before COVID--was something my club ( Syracuse Eating Cub) and I really enjoyed! I heard all good things about others' food and I recommend the brunch poutine of course. The DIY mimosa (bottle of champagne & carafe of oj) is a great option to split with a friend or two for only $20!

Decent food and drinks - my group usually gets the pretzels (pictured below), food is required with your drink purchases. The only thing about the Evergreen is that they never have flights available, and this is the second time we've been here. The first time, they said they didn't have enough flight glasses, the second time the waitress said she wasn't sure and didn't bother to ask. It's a bummer considering they have a decent beer/cider selection that I'd love to try.

I came in to place and sat at the bar where I was greeted by the bartender. I was given both the food and beer menu. The beer menu listed around 15-20 beers on tap and were categorized by their characteristics. It does appear that they change their beer offerings somewhat often. They also offer bottled/canned beers.
The food menu had your standard bar food including burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads, etc. On Mondays they have 1 dollar sliders as well. I decided to order a burger along with a side of fries

For a little taste of something different, but good nonetheless, Evergreen is a very good choice.
The grain and beat burger was very very good. Enjoyed the taste, the added accoutrements, and served warm and quickly. The salmon sandwich too provided a nice blend of flavor and tastiness.. A tad on the dry side but not enough to make it a good call.
Both Indoor and outdoor seating are pluses.

I loved the set up and the rustic decor of this place. There's not waiters. You just order and pay for food at the kitchen counter and wait at a table and order drinks from the bar. It's simple and casual. Also the drink selection was great with many choices of beer and liquor. The food was amazing. Had a vegetarian burger made with beets and goat cheese thay was delicious and ate some terrific poutine. This place is a hidden gem.
