Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Winthrop School of Performing Arts (WSPA). Since 1985 the Winthrop School of Performing Arts has earned a reputation of excellence in the dance and Theatre Community. In addition to a full program in dance, WSPA also offers acting classes, private voice coaching and instrumental lessons.
Centrally located between Boston and the Northshore WSPA is easily accessed from a number of surrounding Communities. Services
Founder and Artistic Director Trudy Macero, began her dance career at the age of eight in the Boston area. She also studied voice during that time and traveled throughout the Boston area for her classes. Ten years later, upon graduation from the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston, Trudy entered the professional world as a vocalist and Dancer.
WSPA is a tremendous asset to our community. Trudy and staff offer the youth of Winthrop access to professional training in dance, voice, acting, instruments and more. From the moment that my daughter walked in the door of WSPA she felt at home. Her teacher was not only warm and welcoming, but she was, and is, an excellent teacher.
Party Leader: $100 Experienced, animated and fun.our party leader will keep your guests moving and shaking as she leads them in games and dances. You may arrive hour before the party for setup (unless other arrangements have been made). Our Basic party, is 1 hours. If extra time is required there will be an additional charge.
Dazzle your guests by showing you have practiced your moves. From the Groom's dance with Mom, to Dad's dance with the Bride, to a surprise flash mob, learn to dance in a fun and friendly environment with professional instructors. Give us your whole Wedding Party and we'll create a customized dance to a song of your choice.

My 10yo girl has been taking dance lessons at WSPA since she was four years old. She loves to dance, but isn't a competitive soul, so WSPA is the perfect fit for her. They promote skill-building without the high pressure competitive spirit of some other places, and they fully include dancers of all abilities in their shows. It's a family friendly place and my girl is blossoming into a graceful and strong dancer under their care. Through a difficult 2020 she continued to learn jazz, ballet and tap, sometimes online and sometimes in-person with appropriate safety precautions. The team at WSPA did

We love WSPA! My daughter has been going to ballet and tap classes there since she was a toddler. She also attended a fabulous singing, acting, dancing, and performing arts camp there this summer. This upcoming year, she'll continue dance lessons and start to include voice as well.
WSPA is professionally run and puts on wonderful shows, but also has a small-town, family-style approach as well. The teachers truly love children and love what they do.
I find WSPA to be very fairly priced and affordable for the level of quality they offer.
