I have worked with Cassie Smith for seven months. She has been great to work with. Cassie provides the perfect blend of compassion and accountability in her work with clients. She has boldly but kindly led me out of the black hole of decades of chronic dieting and disordered eating. I feel like I am on the path to getting my life back. Cassie takes her years of experience and knowledge and combines them with a warm personality that makes clients instantly feel comfortable. She helped me identify places where I struggle and needed more support and helped me put a plan into place to meet those needs

Words can't express my gratitude for the work that Balance Nutrition Counseling does. Before working with Cassie, my life felt like it revolved around food/dieting anxiety and body image stress. Cassie has been so awesome to work with and exceeded every expectation about what working with a Dietician would be like. She is so kind, compassionate, and relatable while also holding me accountable. Cassie has a really special way of making you feel heard and understood, and has given me the tools to chip away at unhealthy habits and rebuild positive ones. I leave every session feeling refreshed and

I have seen many different dietitians for my eating disorder, but it wasn’t until I met Melissa that I felt completely comfortable to let my guard down. She is kind and compassionate while still pushing me outside of my comfort zone and calling out my eating disorder when I am tricked by it. I have told her things that I have felt intense shame about and never once has she judged me. Not only that, but she genuinely lives the life we aspire to have without an eating disorder. There truly is no one better than Melissa.

I have been working with Melissa for almost two years now and since being diagnosed with BED Melissa has been nothing short of wonderful. She listens to my concerns and needs and works with me so that I can make progress towards more steady eating habits. I have made significant progress and no longer binge as I did before. Thank you Melissa for making recovery possible! I highly recommend Melissa if you want someone who listens, is understanding and very proactive in your recovery and eating habits.

I have been working with Melissa since late 2016 after my time in treatment for my eating disorder. She is very knowledgeable and understanding of fears and anxiety around food. She has been very encouraging and supportive of my recovery from the very start and never gave up on helping me. She is very passionate about helping me and others heal relationships with food. I would highly reccomend Melissa if you are looking for a dietitian that genuinely cares about your well-being.

Melissa gives amazing advice when it comes to food and your relationship with it. I appreciate that she's a non-diet nutritionist that helps cater to your individual needs and concerns. While pregnant, I was looking to maintain weight (with the approval of my dr) and she recommended some helpful tracking resources that allowed me to journal my daily food choices. She's great to work with, extremely knowledgeable, and the consummate professional. Great work!

Melissa is one of the most knowledgeable dietitians I know and is able to help others change their perception and relationship with food and nutrition for the better. She is committed to continuing to grow her skills as a dietitian and anyone looking to work with her is lucky to have such a strong support system in their corner. She has helped me re-frame what I always thought I knew about "diets" and healthy eating. I have learned from her that food is not something to fear, but embrace and to throw the word diet out of my vocabulary. Melissa has often reminded me of a balanced and healthy lifestyle

Melissa is fabulous! I was very sick in my eating disorder when I met Melissa, and she was kind, caring, patient, and also pushed me to challenge my disease and find a balance in my eating, and my life! Melissa teaches that all food is good food, and taught me how to intuitively eat again, eating when hungry and stopping when moderately full. She also helped me challenge my fear foods and we did food challenges, and she actually made it fun! With Melissa’s help, I am now able to enjoy food again, without worry and diseased thoughts and actions. Thank you Melissa for being such a fantastic nutritionist

I was incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to work with Melissa. She never failed to show up for me and always met me where I was. It became evident very early on into our work together that all she wanted was for me to be healthy and her genuine concern for my wellbeing never faltered. I am so grateful to have met her. Her knowledge of eating disorders in combination with her ability to personalize my treatment was the greatest relief for me as her client. She understood, she cared, and she also wanted to see me thrive. Only with her, was I able to see myself in recovery. She was always
