We were originally chartered as Farm Bureau Employees Credit Union. The name came from our original membership group of Indiana Farm Bureau Employees. In the 1980's we changed our name to Hoosier Farm Bureau Credit Union after a credit union merger that allowed us to serve more people. This added the IBEW Local 481 Members, Brothers and Sisters of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, to the HUCU Family.
We strive to meet the credit union standard of "Members helping Members", and have been doing so for almost 90 years. We truly believe in helping our members, and getting to know them individually. Each individual's financial situation is unique, and by knowing that we strive to helping our members and community understand credit and how to save.

Services
The Share Savings account is great, whether you are looking to save money, or to have cash easily accessible for spending. Contact Us and we can help you figure out what to save, and how to accomplish the goals you have, or what you might need for a rainy day! The $5.00 deposit you make to your regular savings account when you first open a new account is considered your "share" in the credit union.
Have access and control of your money without feeling like you are paying for it! Don't forget we have Financial Support Services, Loan Options, and Personal Service to help you make the most of your financial situation! If you have a Share Draft "Checking" account, HUCU allows you to purchase checks for your account.
HUCU Member Pricing Program: Offering rates based on credit & loan terms while providing discounts where we can!. Loan Rates quoted above are limited to A+ credit tiers only. Higher rates may apply based on credit worthiness. For the Visa Credit Card the payment is 2.50% of the balance, with a minimum payment of $25, for example a balance of $5,000 will have a monthly payment due of $125.
If your vehicle is stolen or totaled in an accident, most insurance companies will only pay its cash value. If you're still making payments on your vehicle and the current balance of your loan is above your vehicle's cash value, you're liable for the difference. That can amount to thousands of dollars.
Our credit report analysis will allow you to work alongside one of our loan officers to determine where you are at financially, and help you keep on track or get back on track. We tell you what is reporting, as well as analyzing it, how it is affecting your score, and how to improve (or maintain) your credit.
