Services
Most people understand that exercise is good for the body, mind, and spirit, yet very few Americans participate in a supervised exercise program with a personal trainer. Some of the blame for that can be attributed to the perception that personal trainers exist only to punish or exhaust their clients.
He is a local product, graduating from Santa Rosa High School, Santa Rosa Junior College, and Sonoma State University. He holds numerous certifications and specializations through such prestigious organizations as the American Council on Exercise, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
EVERYONE is going to spend two things on their health- money and time. You can hire a trainer, or you can hire a doctor. You can buy food, or you can buy medicine. You can spend time in a gym, or you can spend time in a hospital. Overall, it is far less expensive to be proactive about your health. We recognize that the personal training at RPI is not your cheapest option.

I have been training with Chris at RPI for the past 5 years. Chris is FAR from your average trainer, the relationship you build with him is not limited to the walls of the gym. The training Chris provides goes ABOVE and BEYOND. He takes the time to personalize each workout to fit your individual needs and does an amazing job at helping you discover and navigate your health and workout goals.

As a teenager I was diagnosed with scoliosis and have had back issues throughout my life and after having a baby I told myself enough was enough I needed to lose some weight and work on becoming stronger and being better about my posture.
Over the years I had gone to the personal trainer that was available at the gym I belonged to and I didn't even know facilities like RPI existed until a friend of mine recommended Chris and I'm so glad she did.

Chris Rapoport is truly in a league of his own. You won't find another trainer who is better educated and truly knows how the body works and how to truly workout safely and get results. After many years of training and having worked with numerous trainers, I learned more in my first few sessions with Chris than I had with any other trainer combined. Before working with Chris, I was not only not getting the most of my workouts, but he also helped me eliminate some exercises in my routine that were not safe. I trained with Chris for three years in high school and attribute my division I scholarship to it. I make sure to get into RPI as much as possible whenever I am back in Sonoma County because every minute spent there is so valuable. You can't make a better gym choice on the West Coast, whatever your goals may be.

I worked out with Chris approximately a year and half when I was living in Sebastopol. Life moved me back to my East coast origins. He helped me maintain a very difficult to achieve weight loss. He assessed me prior to working out, realized my knee pain was related to chronically shortened hip flexors. He kept me at the basics as my physical vulnerabilities strengthened. He identified movement tendencies that were just not helpful and we worked to correct those. He respected my goals. I wanted a physically optimized life, but I had no ambition to become an "uber" athlete. Cross

I trained with Chris for the last 1.5 years. He listens to your individual needs, which most trainers so not. I used to have lots of low back pain and that is now gone due to the core strengthening we have worked on. I am so much stronger and really noticed the difference this past month when I moved to Southern California and lifted the boxes myself!
I will miss my workouts with Chris and hope to find someone as great (though doubtful) as he is!

I have been training with Chris for almost a year now. I will admit that I at first I didn't follow most of his advice but once I did I definitely reaped the benefits of my new healthy lifestyle. I work out with him twice a week, try to be active (cardio) two other times and now follow his simple nutrition advice. Making changes one step at a time has really made a difference in the quality of my life.
I am in the best shape I have ever been in, I have almost completely rid myself of my back and neck pain, I have been able to lower my cholesterol from an unsafe level to a healthy level
