Matthew Alvarez is professional and personable. He literally took my hand and guided me through each step in the process of refinancing my home. I was always able to get ahold of him any time of the day and he would address my questions/concerns. Joseph was great the whole way through. I thought communication was going to be primarily email based, but he called me as soon as I submitted the application. He continued to take my calls and questions and kept me updated as to our progress. He helped me understand the options available to ensure I was making the best decision for my family.

I have owned several homes and have refinanced loans multiple times over the past 20 years. My recent refi with SELFi was the most seamless and affordable refi experience I have had. Joseph, as CEO, was very responsive via text, email and voicemail. Joseph was knowledgeable and accurate as he prepared me for the expected phases during the process. The entire refi took just under 30 days and that was during a pandemic as well as record volumes of refi activity due to high values and low interest rates. We did refi with SELFi twice. Both times, the whole process was easy, smooth and efficient. Joseph was responsive and extremely helpful - he jumped on the call with us and explained everything after we emailed him a bunch of questions. SELFi's platform is also easy and intuitive to use, it makes the whole refi process so straightforward and simple. With mortgage rates dropping so low in the past couple of years, I have used SELFi twice now to refinance. Both experiences were painless, transparent, and surprisingly quick. Joseph and Kevin are passionate and will go to bat for you in the process. They also provide really impressive rates, and when comparing with others, i found SELFi often had better lender credits at no additional cost compared to the same interest rates at other companies. I'm so glad we found SELFi! Not only did we save a ton of money, but the process was relatively painless. Raul was really responsive, and it was great to be able to do everything virtually (with the exception of getting an appraisal, and the signing the last few closing docs in our home).
The whole process took longer than I anticipated, but Raul was always there, letting us know when we needed to upload another document or something.

Joseph was a pleasure to work with on my refinance and got me the best rate after I checked several other lenders such as better.com. He made the process clear and straightforward and was always quick to respond to a couple of questions I had by email. Almost entire process was done remotely except for 10 minutes to sign required documents with notary safely with masks on my front porch. Almost all documents were able to be e-signed. Joseph also covered the cost of extending the rate lock for an additional week after there were some unavoidable delays due to my work HR department and homeowners

Overall a really easy and quick experience. It was difficult getting quick responses from Dalton or Joseph so you will need to be patient when trying to get immediate answers to questions. There were also a few hiccups with the rate lock but Joseph and Dalton made it right by ensuring I received the credit and rate I requested to lock. I especially appreciated the hybrid closing which allowed for as little wet signatures with the Notary as possible.

By far the most personal and efficient refinancing experience I have ever had! Joseph cares. He is well-versed in the process. He is available, responsive, and really wants to ensure that his customer gets the best deal available.
