Services
Carolina Sew-n-Vac Center is a family owned and operated business that has been serving the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area since 1987. We continue to offer our customers a wide variety of top-of-the-line quilting supplies, sewing machines and vacuums, along with exceptional service. We believe that the products we sell are only as good as the service we offer after the purchase.
My first memory of Carolina Sew n Vac was when I brought my sewing machine to have it serviced. Bob was quick and efficient with the repair. After getting it back the next day, I was thoroughly impressed with how well it sewed; it was sewing like the first day I got it! I will definitely be coming back to them to have my machine service!
This Beach Chair Cover makes a wonderful gift for friends going on a beach vacation, hostess gift, and of course yourself! All you need: 2 Bath towels and 1 Hand towel. You can cover the hand towel pocket edge with fabric if desired. Download instructions here. For our Machine Embroiderers, we have digitized an In The Hoop zippered pouch that will stitch out in a 5" x 7" hoop.
When signing up for a class with us we will provide you with a supply list. You will need to bring the supplies for each class you register for as well as your machine in good working order along with basic sewing supplies needed to complete your project. We ask that you pay for your class in full at the time you register.
Your supply list will indicate if you have any 'homework' such as cutting and preparation of fabric. It is important that you do your homework prior to coming to class so that you get the most out of your class. You will find a (C) or (R) in front of the class/club names. This Indicates if the class is schedule in our Cary or Raleigh location.

I just stopped in to Carolina Sew and Vac when I noticed the store while taking care of other business. Ruth was extremely helpful and went that “extra mile” to put my mind at ease regarding a serger that I’d received as a gift. I will definitely go back again and would refer anyone looking for machines, especially Baby Lock. Thanks Ruth!

Really amazing customer service experience here this weekend. I needed a few more things to get a sewing project finished. I couldn’t easily go in so they brought threads out and needles to help me match to fabric. They went above and beyond! (And had exactly what I needed to get my project done!) Thank you!

Is it possible to give a store 11 stars? After a clumsy moment, my sewing machine had a minor issue that needed to be addressed and Carolina Sew-N-Vac came to my rescue! Having heard wonderful things about the store from a number of sources (some of whom live several hours away), I am so grateful for the referral - and all of the help!

Went in to find a sewing machine to make masks since I did not want to do it by hand. They patiently gave me a reminder lesson on how to use one and did not let up until I was comfortable with using it. Even coming back into the shop, they remembered me, welcoming me with a smile. They have a great personality and customer service.

I have an original Singer Touch and Sew. This heavy piece has been through 2 generations now of seamstresses. The folk at Carolina Sew N Vac have taken great care of it . And when it was beyond repair, they didn't charge me to take a look. You do have to keep checking in, as they only call you when they've finished the job, and don't give too much notice if things are being delayed.

I have purchased two embroidery machines from Earl and Kim. They are the best every. They will work to make sure you understand the operations of your machine. If you have a question or an issue of any kind about the machines or sewing techniques, they will go over and beyond to help. I would refer anyone looking for a sewing machine or embroidery machine. Carolina Sew & Vac is the place to good

I went over to Carolina Sew-N-Vac today to get some needles for a vintage serger I've been tinkering with. I talked with Earl on the phone before heading over to see if they had the needles I needed. I went there, brought my serger, and the whole staff worked with me to figure out what needles I needed. The customer service was some of the best I've ever gotten, he worked with me to make sure the needles were correct and that my tension was right. He even figured out that one of my knobs was missing a spring. Together we brought the machine back to life! I will absolutely be going back for all

I own a boutique and I depend on my embroidery machines to work right...all the time! Earl understands that and makes sure my machines are fixed quickly and right. Many times, Earl will walk me through things to try over the phone to keep me from having to take a machine in. To say Earl goes above and beyond is putting it mildly. Not only do I go in for machine repair, I purchased one of my machines there. And...they always have the color thread I'm looking for. I love that they carry more than just one brand of thread!!

It was the draw of fabric that got me in the door. They have a great selection of quilting fabric, notions, and machines at this little shop. Lots of cute prints that I haven't seen in this area. I will most positively be back when i need to replenish my fabric stash. However, What I found most impressive was the staff, and it is the honesty and helpfulness of the staff that will keep me coming here.
This little shop not only sells fabric and notions, but they also service machines.....for a reasonable price.
I have a serger that is starting to act up. I asked the guy how much it
