I couldn’t be happier with Camp Wekeela. My oldest son has been going for years & just finished his LIT summer. He raved about camp so much that our youngest decided to go & he loved it too. The staff, facility, activities and overall feel are warm, inviting and safe. When they were able to safely open and complete that first Covid summer, they had my loyalty for life. A great, family owned camp experience for kids.

This is the most special place. My three kids, now 13, 11, and 8, have finished their 5th, 4th, and 2nd years at Wekeela. They have thoroughly enjoyed their time. And a special shout out to Ephram, Lori, and Jonathan who worked tirelessly with us to accommodate our unique circumstances with respect to one of our children. Best camp ever.

My 2 children have completed their second summer at Camp Wekeela and are gearing up for their third. All I can say is that they have such an amazing time there that they continue to talk about camp for months after getting home. We take before/after pictures of them and the results are pretty amazing as well. They come back energized, in amazing shape, and have a glow and confidence that they don't get anywhere.
Ephram and Lori have truly made this a home for so many kids. Thank you.

Both my son Jake and my daughter Lexi have been going to Wekeela for the past 7 years. As soon as we met the owner we knew this was going to be the right camp for us. Ephram truly knew and loved all of his campers. You could tell it was like a family to him, his wife and his 3 boys. My kids have been so happy at Wekeela. They have made lifelong friends that they keep in touch with all year long. They maintain close friendships with their counselors as well. I could not be more impressed with the calibre of counselor and staff members at camp. They are all so dedicated to making sure the kids have

Our 9 year old daughter has really enjoyed Wekeela these past two Summers. The counselors are nurturing and very involved with the day to day activities of the kids. She has come back from Camp excited about all the friends she has made. Wekeela has so many varied activities that the camper can enjoy the things that they are good while also having many new experiences that will peak new interests. Wekeela is a very well run camp in a beautiful setting.

Our 5th grader son had the "best summer camp ever!" He made new friends from across the nation, had "cool counselors", and had fun from sunrise dips in the lake to sunset campfire songs. His letters home made my wife and me feel we made the right decision. Detoxed from the cyber world, he was having wholesome fun in beautiful nature. He was healthy, happy and safe. He can't wait to get back to Camp Wekeela for the 100th Anniversary!

Our girls just finished their third summer and our 8yr old son his first. We think he summed it up perfectly when the first words out of his mouth at pick up were “I want to come back next summer!”. Our kids start talking about going back the day we pick them up and keep in touch with their camp friends all year round. As a parent you couldn’t feel more comfortable leaving your kids in the hands of Lori, Ephram, and their team for the summer. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Camp Weekela.

I've already reviewed Camp Wekeela but I feel like I should review it after every summer my son goes so it shows that the level of love for this place only grows stronger.
This is my son's third summer and his "home away from home". We live in NJ. We send our son to Wekeela in Maine for many reasons. Some ask- why so far? There are camps closer to you. But there is something magical just in the place. Something about being up there that draws kids and staff from all over the country and other countries. My son loves the diversity he finds there. It's not just kids from NJ/NY/CT. This summer he

My daughter, izzy was a first time camper in the rookie session. sleep away camp is not something myself nor my husband have ever done. we were nervous about sending her to Maine for this new experience. She was a touch anxious, but wanted to go. (We hadn’t even been to the camp due to covid so we blindly let her go, when a friend recommended it to us) The child we picked up, was different; HAPPIER, MORE CONFIDENT, CALMER. Her first night home, she asked to go back to camp! (and she LOVES being home)
camp Wekeela is a truly magical place, where kids can be kids!! They did a phenomenal job uploading

This year was my girls first year at sleep away camp. Not only this camp's facilities and location is beautiful, but the staff at this camp is amazing! All my questions and concerns have been addressed almost immediately, via email or phone call. My youngest has several food allergies, severe (anaphylaxis) the staff is fully trained, they are an inclusive camp, meaning she can eat and participate in EVERY activity. This is extremely important for any kid of any age, to feel included and part of everything and something. I highly highly recommend this. Thank you to Camp Wekeela for making this

I used to have really bad experiences at camps, but when I went to Wekeela, that all changed. Last summer was my second summer; and I don't understand how people think that new people are treated like outcasts because I was new and I made about 3 friends the first day! Wekeela also is great because you can extend your time there easily, and if you hate it (which I really doubt you will) you will probably be allowed to un-extend. Last summer I went to camp for four weeks, and even in my second year I was still making friends and looking forward to meeting new people! I can't say enough
