Tsunami Japanese Steakhouse

This place has really gone down customer service wise & quality of food wise. All prices have increased yet the amount of food has decreased. Took myself and three small boys out last evening and I was definitely disappointed. Our chef was grumbling about today wasn't his day due to him nor having a full party to feed. He said now he only gets $1 per person. I found that to be very rude. Our waitress only came out twice to sew if everything was fine with us that was at beginning and end. I want be returning no time soon, but the smallest boys enjoyed it because they liked seeing the flames.

Fun dinner for my little cousin's Bornday🎂 our waiter and chef were so funny and attentive. I enjoyed everything except for the soup. The plum wine was delicately tasty yet strong😳😏

The sushi tasted fairly good, and it's preparation was decent. The color of the fish, and the rice pliability both were off. The rolls fall completely apart when picked up. The wasabi was not good. Just avoid it.
The cleanliness of the restaurant is good, as was service. Oddly they added 18% gratuity to a table of two? We typically would tip much better, and we're surprised they would add that automatically.

Great sushi place with a really nice hibachi experience. We started with fried oyster, by the way they were delicious, after we got a few sushi rolls, tuna roll is my favorite. Excellent cocktails and not pricey at all. Service was fast and on point, didn't expect that in St Pete were most of the places are "slow". I really recommend this restaurant if you are in the area

As always the food is great 👍. The cook is the one who makes it an awesome experience or just great food. Had the best cook I have ever had here or any hibachi steakhouse what a show. Impressive and fun. Private booths if you prefer and still the same great food.

Filthy dirty! Arrived used restroom and alerted “manager” to no soap. 1.5 hours later nobody filled it. Glass shelves have not been cleaned in years. Fake flowers and other decor thick with dust , “this is a very hot place” was the excuse. Plexiglass dividers covered in fingerprints and grease. Sanitizing rag sitting on the bar top was used once but not to clean barstools or booths. Food took a long time due to take out orders overwhelming the kitchen. Huh? Don’t bother with this place.

If I could write this place is zero, I would. I’m pretty sure the health department would love to visit here. This place is filthy. I went to pick up the menu, there was so much filth grease and bumps all over it. I am mediately dropped it. The Table counter was so greasy that you could write your name on it. The cook took over 45 min to cook our food. She ordered a A mid rare steak. She couldn’t even eat it. Brought it up to the manager. He did not want to deal with the situation nor was he going to refund us or offer us another meal. Never go here

The food for the most part was good but the shrimp was not deveined, disgusting. The manager stated they never clean their shrimp completely from the head to the tail, excuse me? Who wants half cleaned shrimp?? Therefore, I told him to take it off my bill because I couldn't eat them then he changed his whole tune and offered to clean them thoroughly. After all of that, it was good! Very disappointing to know that they do not clean their shrimp thoroughly...

I have traveled the world. All seven Continents. I climbed glaciers inside the Antarctic Circles, rode elephants in a big game park photographing tigers hunting gazelles, hiked along the great wall and cruised the Nile.
I have dined at many Michelen starred restaurants and holes in the wall near Gibraltar and much more. Fancy and expensive is not always best. Simple and inexpensive places with great food, great, friendly service, are sometimes the little gems you come upon. Yes this place is a modern building at the corner of a shopping center parking lot but the food is really good authentic
