From simple to complex solutions, the OJ Gallery will complete your project within budget. Since his opening the OJ Gallery in 1993, Max K has been collecting and acquiring rare and original works from the early modern period to contemporary works for his gallery and private collections. Max K continues to grow his collection primarily with works from the 20th century--particularly modernist, post-modernist, pop and contemporary movements.
The OJ Gallery designs and builds custom mirrors and decorative frames locally that will match your private collection, transform your home, or enhance any work/public space. Our frame designers are happy to show and discuss a wide range of custom-built mirrors and frames. Besides customized frames and mirrors, the OJ Gallery offers many other specialized services that are listed below.
Whether it's a ready-made or custom frame, our craftsmen follow both modern construction and preservation practices to ensure that your project can be exhibited and enjoyed for generations. Our curators and framers have years of framing and design experience, and we only use the finest materials. We are environmentally friendly, using acid-free matting and UV-protected glass, and follow a detailed process to build, preserve and protect the work.
The OJ Gallery collects works by established and emerging artists from around the world, and sells them to personal collections. Currently we have many unique modern and contemporary pieces from provocative artists of the last century. The gallery also carries museum-quality print reproductions for personal or commercial display.

This is an overdue, but very necessary review. I brought a special piece of art, a water painting on a stretched canvas, for Max to frame. Not only did he very precisely and professionally pick out the right frame, but did a beautiful job, at a reasonable and fair price, and delivered and hung it too! He was able to translate the image my decorator had and execute perfectly! AND he is an absolute pleasure to work with...so much so that I am having him frame another very large piece now!

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I am adding to the below review that I have previously written. Awhile ago I purchased a very large framed picture for my wedding anniversary. I took it to Max because I needed it shipped to California. I had nightmares about shipping this thing. Max assured me it would arrive in perfect condition. He reframed the picture, changed the glass, prepared it for shipment, and sent it off to California. When my wife received it she said it literally took her 30 minutes to unpack. She said there was not a scratch on it due to the attention to detail from

Max at the OJ Gallery repaired a painting for us that had been damaged during a move. Max was wonderful. He was willing to work within our tight budget and went above and beyond to make the painting look like new. I can't believe how perfect it looks now - you'd never even know it was damaged! He also worked very efficiently and had the 4x4' painting finished and completely fixed in less than a week. I'm so grateful that we found the OJ Gallery and we will definitely be returning for any future art conservation or framing needs!

MAX is AMAZING!!

MAX is originally from Kauai Hawaii & he moved to NY at an early age. He obviously has done well for himself, but only because he is unlike the majority of NYers. I grew up in NYC & then moved to Hawaii, & then on to California....kind of like the opposite of MAX.
MAX is amazing warmly, knowledgable, & friendly... even to total strangers like my brother & I.
Since I had an ERTE (Serigraph- "Opium") sitting at my families house in Brooklyn for about 25 years or so & wanted to get it packed & shipped to California at my

I don't write many reviews at all. But after being a customer for a while and routinely being impressed, Oj Art Gallery has earned this review.
I have had over 10 pieces (paintings, concert posters, etc.) framed at this place over the last few years. Max has always been amazing to work with. Him and his team have a great sense of how to enhance the piece without taking the attention away from it. They have used several different techniques/materials (mounting, matting, frames, etc.) to make each one of my pieces look unique and stand on their own. Their work is outstanding, his prices
