I lived here for 7 months, the entire 7 months was awful. We had mold they refused to fix, test for or even attempt to clean up. We become very sick due to the mold. It eventually came to the point of us threatening to sue for them to do anything. Even then they gave us a option of breaking our lease or moving into a different apartment that is more expensive. We gave them almost 5 months to try to fix the mold, yet they still wouldn’t do anything. The maintenance man walked in our apt and just smelled what it smelled like inside. He didn’t check for mold, he didn’t look at anything. Said

This place is extremely unsafe and the owner, Marvin Carter is known all over town for his deceptive business practices. A few years ago the city literally shut this complex down after it was discovered that he had been building without pulling a permit for years and that none of the new building was up to safety requirements. Stay far away from this place!

I visited these apartments a few times. One side of the building smells terribly of polyurethane and you can even taste the smell in the foods from the cupboards. Building is riddled with cockroaches. I even took a video of one in the game room. Also, their lease states a game room and gym as an amenity- however both are rundown, do not operate correctly, or just broken. Pretty sure that's a violation of a lease agreement.

Let me tell you about Burlington Park, managed by MGC. This place is great! The building is historic and beautiful and the management group is on top of any maintenance issue. Everyone working for MGC (including the owner) is overworked, but they will take care of any issue and they're fair to their tenants. I have lived a Burlington for four… months and I couldn't be happier. My apartment is huge and the rent is CHEAP! Everything is included (water, power, trash, TV, and internet) and I have yet to have any overages. So if you're in the market for a great place to live or a great place
