Our boutique mental health practice specializes in the treatment of ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, and Bipolar Disorders. We give personalized and attentive care to every patient to meet his or her individualized needs.
On your initial visit we will develop a treatment plan that may include the use of medication. After your first appointment, subsequent visits together are important to assess wellness and to sustain a long-lasting positive change. During your initial session we will get to know you and learn your relevant history in a comfortable way that best suits you.
You are expected to pay attention, show up to work or think critically at school, and lead a dynamic life at home. The people closest to you may notice that you are struggling or simply forget things. You are not alone. Brightland Health professionals diagnose ADHD based on many factors. For example, you might exhibit forgetfulness or disorganization.
While anger can be a natural emotional response, bouts of rage can be destructive to your personal or professional life. If you lose your temper easily or use aggressive actions or words you might benefit from seeing a therapist. At Brightland Health our team of Therapists in Chicago can help you identify your anger and control your emotional responses.
Anxiety is a sense of worry or nervousness or the body's response to fear where you might feel uneasy. It might be difficult to control your worries about different events or activities at school or work. Panic Attacks are short bursts of unexpected intense fear or discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes.

Brightland Health is an amazing group of folks. Personally, I have been working with Arsala Khan for a few years now. When I look back on the progress Arsala has helped me make with Anxiety, I am speechless. She is a wonderful resource and one of the best doctors I have ever worked with. She helped me get the quality of my life back. Get control back. I cannot recommend Brightland Health enough if you need help. I am forever grateful for the Brightland Health team, and especially, Arsala Khan.

I attempted to seek psychiatric care from another provider not affiliated with Brightland. Before I was even able to start the meeting the psychiatrist spoke down to me as if I didn’t not know how to use video telehealth. He lacked empathy and treated me like a number. I decided not to move forward with him. Skip ahead, I found Brightland Health on google and they had raving reviews. I’ve been seeing Dr. Emily Mayer for some time now. She is kind, caring, empathetic, listens to her patients, and really knows her stuff! I feel so grateful to have been matched with her and Brightland. Jen, the

I worked as a patient with Dr. Robin for many years, even previous to his Brightland days. He has been a tremendous doctor, he offers suggestions but still makes it feel like I’m choosing which path to go, I always appreciated that. He was always accessible and super easy to see. Thanks for everything Dr. Robin.

I don't normally post reviews, but I just have to say that so far I have had a great experience with this practice!
I have been trying to find someone in Chicago for the last 4 weeks, and cannot get through anywhere. The receptionist here is genuinely one of the sweetest people I've ever encountered over the phone. She was super patient, answered my questions and walked me through the whole process. She helped me set up an appointment which I literally have in less than a week.
This experience alone makes me so relieved and excited that I finally found a place, especially with being new to the

I’ve suffered with a rare disorder for years-until I found Dr. Robin. He suggested assessments that no other doctor ever did. After 10 years of not knowing what was going on, I finally had an answer because of him! He listens to your symptoms and concerns and has an actual conversation about what YOU want to do. He isn’t like other psychiatrists I’ve had that literally ask the same questions every appointment. I’ve been seeing him over 3 years and would continue to if I wasn’t moving out of state. If you’re in a similar position I was in-needing answers-see Dr. Robin!

Dr. Robin is simply the BEST. I can tell he listened to me intentionally with great care, and used my history to inform him as to the best medical route to take for my specific case. I felt totally safe and in-control the entire time. It's hard to describe but he completely changed my life, reset my relationships, put light into my world with the medications he prescribed to me. I cannot recommend him enough. It's been a joy getting to know him and being a part of his practice as a patient! (And his credentials as a Wisconsin grad make him the most competent doctor I know.)

Dr. Khan is the bees knees. I’ve been seeing her for med management for about 1.5 years (something like that). She’s not like any psychiatrist I’ve ever had, and that’s a good thing. She really listens. While some appointments I have are quick check-ins, others need more context and time to explain - but no matter what, she is always patient with me and I never feel rushed. She’s a skilled problem solver, and asks intentional and thoughtful questions to guide you along the way. She also referred me to an outpatient program in the early days of seeing her which truly saved me (and was

If you go to the Lincoln Park location, I recommend Dan (Daniel) Smith. I always leave our sessions with a better grasp of my mental well-being. Whenever he notices that I am struggling with a situation, he somehow has a tool or resource available to help guide me or recognize the best approach that fits my needs. He is also very personable, but also knows you are paying for help, not a friend, which I appreciate as sometimes I tend to get distracted with unimportant details. Overall, a great person and therapist that I recommend to anyone.
