Excepting the great sequoias of California, Douglas Fir is the most gigantic tree of the Pacific forests. Under best conditions, it ordinarily reaches 180 to 190 feet in height and from three and a half to six feet in diameter. These massive trunks, clear of branches for 80 to 100 feet are straight and with only a slight taper.

Raised grain - Looks like a sand blasted product. The soft grain in the timber is removed to create a more dramatic appearance of the heavy grain. Distressed - A custom hand worked finish that is used to create the look of an old barn. Distressing creates the illusion of a timber weathered and beaten by the natural elements without affecting the structural durability of the piece.
