My name is Joseph. I am the owner of Computer Maintenance & Upkeep, having started the business in January of 2008. I've actually been working with computers for longer than that though. I currently reside in lovely Colorado Springs. My computer skills come from personal experience and research, and of course, much trial-and-error testing on my own computer equipment.
Every program I install for you is one that I have used on my own computers. Most of these I've used for many years, such as Microsoft Security Essentials and OpenOffice.org. Due to this long-time familiarity, I am completely confident in the security programs and other software I install. There has never been a security breach or breakdown on my computers that I haven't been able to fix.

Services
Replacing your existing hard drive with a solid state drive (SSD) can have a huge impact on its operating speed. I'll put you on my calendar for a scheduled cleaning every three to six months, depending on your preferences. When the time comes, I'll call or text you in advance to make sure the timing still works for you.
CM&U now offers a subscription plan for keeping your computer(s) clean and optimized throughout the year! The way this works is fairly simple. There is no extra fee beyond my regular hourly rate to be on this schedule. Most of these clean/optimize sessions will take an hour or less, so the cost will usually be $50 or less.
Bloatware is the name for all those unwanted trial programs that came with your new computer. You're allowed to use them for while, then they stop working until you register them or pay for them. A few examples of bloatware are paid subscription antivirus programs, video editing tools and dial-up Internet software.
There are a variety of excellent, secure remote access programs that I can use to work on your computer from my location. I will never charge an extra fee for remote access, nor will I access your computer without your permission. Remote access programs allow me to see your computer screen and use your mouse and keyboard.
Over time, your Windows or Apple Mac computer can begin to run slower and suffer from more errors than it did when it was new. Viruses and adware/spyware can severely impact how quickly your computer operates. Sometimes an operating system re-installation is just what the doctor ordered! Joseph does really good work. I like his professionalism, and that he lets me know if specific upgrades is needed. HE does not take advantage of the computer ill-literate. what has also helped was that not all cases I have to bring my computer to him he can fix some things remotely. He can also pick up your computer as well if you can't drop it off to him. I have been using this company for several years and will continue to do so. I highly recommend him and this company :)

As joseph was repairing my computer he was explaining what he was doing. He installed screen saver that featured many refreshing background scenery that are picturesque. His fees is the most competitive and reasonable compared to ALL the others i have encountered. Excellent chose!

Well my old computer finally had it while in the middle of trying to list items. Joseph responded quickly to my request on Next Door and took my computer in that day. Though my computer was beyond fixing he did order another unit for me and got my old info transferred to new unit. Joseph also was able to do some remote work to get my monitors working like I had originally. Now I have an updated unit with Windows 10! that's super fast and so quiet!!! Back to listing and done with ease and speed!

Joseph is very skilled and knowledgeable in computer maintenance and Upkeep. My computer needed a new hard drive and he was able to get it up and running again and recover most of my computers data. If I had backed up the other, he could have retrieved all of it. So if you have any questions about computer maintenance and upkeep, he's the one and very reasonable in his price.

Joseph is a very smart man. He helped me with my laptop. I was so happy when it took less than one day to fix. After working with Joseph with my laptop, I went back to him for a tower computer. His price for my amazingly fast new computer was so worth it. The computer he built for me would have costs me a few thousands dollars at any big box stores, easily! I paid a fraction of that! Give joseph a try, his work will shock you too, and be kind to your pocket book.

I have had Joseph work on several computers over the years I have known him. He does excellent work at a fair price. A couple of our computers are older (6-7 years minimum) but they are faster today then they were when they were new with some of the adjustments he has made. Simple reasonably priced upgrades has kept us state of the art without replacing equipment every few years.
