We were able to snag one of the last reservations during tonight's big game ... and we were greeted by a restaurant full of energetic Bengals fans. The atmosphere is truly unmatched ... and family-friendly too!
During the game, our waiter had no problem spreading out when he brought us our drinks and food ... so we could watch without that added pressure of having to continuously order another beer. Even still, he checked in regularly and offered great menu recommendations. The "Smithy

We stopped into Moerlein for lunch on a pit stop to Cleveland... what started out as a potential “never coming back” first and last time visit.... was definitely turned all the way around. Our Server, Anthony was great at correcting the issue at hand and the manager was just as good making sure we were taken care of! We loved the service and the food, even more that we plan to stop back on the way home!

I took my wife there for her birthday and her sister gave her a $100 gift card. We ate and drank and the food was not that great to be honest. Go to pay for it and they said the gift card we hard with their logo on it can not be used because of new ownership. We were ver upset but what made me more upset is the superficial empathy that the hourly and salary manager (yes, that is what they called themselves) had. I went with some family today and had a great time! It has a great atmosphere and a wide selection of food and beverages. I got the Jagerschnitzel and it was amazing! It had great taste and was a large portion size so I got to enjoy it more later. I also drank they Bay of Bengal Mango IPA and it was packed full of great citrus flavors! We will be back!

The location and outdoor space at the Moerlein Lager House are amazing. It's got amazing views of the Cincinnati skyline and the Ohio river. The beer is good, but in a city like Cincinnati that's crawling in excellent breweries, I wouldn't say it stands out. I've enjoyed the burgers, but was underwhelmed by the appetizers on the food menu.
It's usually fairly open - even on the weekends - so if you're looking for a last minute place that will have room for you and your friends, it's a reliable choice.

Best place to eat and drink in downtown!
I enjoyed the short ribs and weibbier hefe.
There was a few times the waiter missed a few items but was able to apologize and bring them.
Parking underneath is paid parking. As a tourist i wish i could have something like this near me. Overall great experience.

Beautiful day to eat out in the beer garden. Helpful waitress with beer suggestions. We got the orange cream daydream beer and was hoping for more orange flavor so that fell short but then we ordered the crafted flight that includes 4 different beer choices and those picks were much much better, the fish and chips were hot and plentiful, the shrimp appetizer was spicy and full of garlic, the 3 cheese garlic burger was juicy so if you order one be sure not to order it well done because that would be an injustice and the onion rings were crunchy and not over battered.

Very great experience! Food and drinks are amazing! The view is beautiful. But most of all the service was top notch! Amanda, our server was so friendly and on top of her game. I left my credit card at the bar and she ran down the stairs of the restaurant, THEN down the stairs of the parking garage to give me my card. WOW!! Thank you, Amanda!!

Visited Cincinnati for the first time since 7 years ago. My boyfriend had never been so we decided to make reservations here based on the menu, location and reviews. We had no idea there was a reds game and beer fest going on so we hung out with the crowds before showing up to our reservation 30 minutes early. They went ahead and seated us and I requested the outdoor seating and the hostess made that happen.
The server must have been very busy because it took awhile for us to get our drink order in. She was apologetic and friendly so no issue. We did put an order in for the pretzels as an appetizer

Had a great time here before a Reds game. This would have been a 5 star experience if we weren't forced to sit outside when there were many empty tables inside. We were told they were for reservations but some were still empty when we left. The fact that there were umbrellas available but they were broken. Then there was a covered patio that wasn't being used.

This was my 3rd or 4th time visiting Moerlein, but the first time in probably 3 years or so. I didn't really come away impressed due to difficult staff and a sandwich that was up-and-down.
First, let me say, the beer I had was phenomenal. Whoever the head brewer is deserves a raise and maybe more control over direction. I'm closing in on 2500 beers on Untappd and (mistakingly) rolling my eyes at Moerlein offering a juicy DIPA

So... after coming here I was completely underwhelmed and confused by all the raving reviews. From the outside, it's such an awesome place with great views. There's a parking garage directly underneath which is super convenient. They have a huge outdoor dining space and it's two levels inside.

We came in for a quick bite before a Cubs game. They said they were on a 45-60 minute wait so we grabbed some beers from the beer garden window. We ordered an appetizer but they got us in within 20 minutes. We shared a sandwich and were good to go to the game. The server was very nice and delivery of food was rapid. Good stuff.

Probably the best restaurant location in the city. It's across the street from The Banks and the Roebling Bridge. Attached parking garage. A block away from the street car. Near equidistant to both Stadiums. It's my go-to location when taking a southbound walk from Friendship Park. It's that "will walk for beer" mentality that helps me justify a long walk and a cold beer here! Post-COVID there's only a fraction of the previous 100's of beers on tap... hopefully they will return soon. Cough, **Wild Ohio**, cough.

We stopped here before a Reds game after walking the riverfront (we really needed to find a place to use the restroom). Well. The restrooms were wonderful but so was everything else. The decor reminded me of a typical German lager house which was so fun. Made me want to travel.
My best friend got their orange cream daydream and it was awesome. Like a beery-creamsicle. I did a flight so I could try more but learn from me- just get a giant glass of the raspberry hefe(I think that's what it was. I can't find it on their website anywhere).

Went here on a whim. Was on a waitlist for another restaurant but the menu here sounded much more appetizing.
We were seated quickly with a view on the water. We scanned the QR code for the menu. I knew immediately what I wanted. Farmhouse Waffle, eggs and a mimosa flight.
The wasn't much time to wait before the mimosa flights came. There are 4 different types: original, seven (which has beer in it), pineapple (has rum in it) and tequila. The architecture of the building as well as the spectacular views of the river and Roebling Bridge make this a must stop. You can sit outside on the second floor deck during lovely weather or inside either way you'll still get a really nice view.
I've been twice now and each view from inside or out was equally enjoyable.
The deep fried pickles are delicious with a light flaky batter and also is served with deep fried jalapeños which was a nice surprise. The deep fried calamari was a hit tossed in a chipotle type sauce. I would opt next time to get the sauce on the side as the calamari

My brother goes to the University of Cincinnati and we were looking for a fun place to go to for his birthday. We made a reservation for Moerlein Lager House at 12:30 on a Sunday and were seated right away. The place is setup as a brewery/ bar in which is cool but also has the high class vibe of it as we were seated by huge windows overlooking the water.
We got two orders of the fried pickles and fried Anaheim peppers which I highly recommend. I was hesitant about the peppers as I hadn't had the type before but they were delicious. They also come with chipotle ranch to dip.

First of all, the beer selection here is fantastic. Everything we tried was great. The hefeweizen was great, the helles was spot on for that beer style, the dunkle was great, and the chocolate covered cherry beer was fantastic. It tasted like maraschino cherries, not syrup or artificial cherry flavoring. We're even taking a growler of it home. During COVID-19, they're giving growlers for $10. Both bartenders were very attentive, so the service was five stars.
